1 И Исус почна пак да им говори с притчи, като казваше:

And Jesus answering, again spake to them in similes, saying,

2 Н ебесното царство прилича на цар, който направи сватба на сина си.

`The reign of the heavens was likened to a man, a king, who made marriage-feasts for his son,

3 Т ой разпрати слугите си да повикат поканените на сватбата; но те не искаха да дойдат.

and he sent forth his servants to call those having been called to the marriage-feasts, and they were not willing to come.

4 П ак изпрати други слуги, казвайки: Речете на поканените: Ето, приготвих обеда си; юнците ми и угоените са заклани, и всичко е готово; дойдете на сватба.

`Again he sent forth other servants, saying, Say to those who have been called: Lo, my dinner I prepared, my oxen and the fatlings have been killed, and all things ready, come ye to the marriage-feasts;

5 н о те <занемариха> поканата, и разотидоха се, един на своята нива, а друг на търговията си;

and they, having disregarded, went away, the one to his own field, and the other to his merchandise;

6 а останалите хванаха слугите му и безсрамно ги оскърбиха и убиха.

and the rest, having laid hold on his servants, did insult and slay.

7 И царят се разгневи, изпрати войските си и погуби ония убийци, и изгори града им.

`And the king having heard, was wroth, and having sent forth his soldiers, he destroyed those murderers, and their city he set on fire;

8 Т огава казва на слугите си: Сватбата е готова, а поканените не бяха достойни.

then saith he to his servants, The marriage-feast indeed is ready, and those called were not worthy,

9 З атова идете по кръстопътищата и колкото намерите, поканете ги на сватба.

be going, then, on to the cross-ways, and as many as ye may find, call ye to the marriage-feasts.

10 И тъй, ония слуги излязоха по пътищата, събраха всички колкото намериха, зли и добри; и сватбата се напълни с гости.

`And those servants, having gone forth to the ways, did gather all, as many as they found, both bad and good, and the marriage-feast apartment was filled with those reclining.

11 А царят, като влезе да прегледа гостите, видя там един човек, който не бе облечен в сватбарска дреха.

`And the king having come in to view those reclining, saw there a man not clothed with clothing of the marriage-feast,

12 И каза му: Приятелю, ти как си влязъл тук без да имаш сватбарска дреха? А той мълчеше.

and he saith to him, Comrade, how didst thou come in hither, not having clothing of the marriage-feast? and he was speechless.

13 Т огава царят рече на служителите: Вържете му нозете и ръцете, и хвърлете го във външната тъмнина; там ще бъде плач и скърцане със зъби.

`Then said the king to the ministrants, Having bound his feet and hands, take him up and cast forth to the outer darkness, there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth;

14 З ащото мнозина са поканени, а малцина избрани.

for many are called, and few chosen.'

15 Т огава фарисеите отидоха и се съветваха как да Го впримчат в говоренето Му.

Then the Pharisees having gone, took counsel how they might ensnare him in words,

16 И пращат при Него учениците си, заедно с Иродианите, да кажат: Учителю, знаем, че си искрен, учиш в истина Божия път и не Те е грижа от никого, защото не гледаш на лицето на човеците.

and they send to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, `Teacher, we have known that thou art true, and the way of God in truth thou dost teach, and thou art not caring for any one, for thou dost not look to the face of men;

17 К ажи ни, прочее: Ти как мислиш? Право ли е да даваме данък на Кесаря, или не?

tell us, therefore, what dost thou think? is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not?'

18 А Исус разбра лукавството им, и рече: Защо Ме изпитвате, лицемери?

And Jesus having known their wickedness, said, `Why me do ye tempt, hypocrites?

19 П окажете ми данъчната монета. И те Му донесоха един пеняз.

show me the tribute-coin?' and they brought to him a denary;

20 Т ой им каза: Чий е този образ и надпис?

and he saith to them, `Whose this image and the inscription?'

21 К азват му: Кесарев. Тогава им казва: Като е тъй, отдавайте Кесаревите на Кесаря, а Божиите на Бога.

they say to him, `Caesar's;' then saith he to them, `Render therefore the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God;'

22 И като чуха това, те се зачудиха, и оставяйки Го, си отидоха.

and having heard they wondered, and having left him they went away.

23 В същия ден дойдоха при Него садукеи, които казват, че няма възкресение и попитаха Го, казвайки:

In that day there came near to him Sadducees, who are saying there is not a rising again, and they questioned him, saying,

24 У чителю, Моисей е казал: Ако някой умре бездетен, брат му да се ожени за жена му, и да въздигне потомък на брата си.

`Teacher, Moses said, If any one may die not having children, his brother shall marry his wife, and shall raise up seed to his brother.

25 А между нас имаше седмина братя; и първият се ожени и умря; и, като нямаше потомък, остави жена си на брата си;

`And there were with us seven brothers, and the first having married did die, and not having seed, he left his wife to his brother;

26 с ъщо и вторият и третият, до седмият.

in like manner also the second, and the third, unto the seventh,

27 А подир всички умря и жената.

and last of all died also the woman;

28 И тъй, във възкресението на кого от седмината ще бъде жена? защото те всички я имаха.

therefore in the rising again, of which of the seven shall she be wife -- for all had her?'

29 А Исус в отговор им рече: Заблуждавате се, като не знаете писанията нито Божията сила.

And Jesus answering said to them, `Ye go astray, not knowing the Writings, nor the power of God;

30 З ащото във възкресението нито се женят, нито се омъжват, но са като ангели на небето.

for in the rising again they do not marry, nor are they given in marriage, but are as messengers of God in heaven.

31 А за възкресението на мъртвите, не сте ли чели онова, което Бог ви говори, като казва:

`And concerning the rising again of the dead, did ye not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,

32 " Аз съм Бог Авраамов, Бог Исааков и Бог Яковов?" Той не е Бог на мъртвите, а на живите.

I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not a God of dead men, but of living.'

33 И множеството, като чу това, чудеха се на учението Му.

And having heard, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching;

34 А фарисеите, като чуха, че смълчал садукеите, събраха се заедно.

and the Pharisees, having heard that he did silence the Sadducees, were gathered together unto him;

35 И един от тях, законник, за да Го изпита, зададе Му въпрос:

and one of them, a lawyer, did question, tempting him, and saying,

36 У чителю, коя е голямата заповед в закона?

`Teacher, which the great command in the Law?'

37 А Той му рече: "Да възлюбиш Господа твоя Бог с цялото си сърце, с цялата си душа и с всичкия си ум".

And Jesus said to him, `Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thine understanding --

38 Т ова е голямата и първа заповед.

this is a first and great command;

39 А втора, подобна< на нея>, е тая: "Да възлюбиш ближния си, както себе си".

and the second like to it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself;

40 Н а тия две заповеди стоят целият закон и пророците.

on these -- the two commands -- all the law and the prophets do hang.'

41 И когато бяха събрани фарисеите, Исус ги попита, казвайки:

And the Pharisees having been gathered together, Jesus did question them,

42 К акво мислите за Христа? Чий Син е? Казват Му: Давидов.

saying, `What do ye think concerning the Christ? of whom is he son?' They say to him, `Of David.'

43 К азва им: Тогава как Давид чрез Духа Го нарича Господ, думайки:

He saith to them, `How then doth David in the Spirit call him lord, saying,

44 " Рече Господ на моя Господ: Седи отдясно Ми. Докле положа враговете Ти под нозете Ти?"

The Lord said to my lord, Sit at my right hand, till I may make thine enemies thy footstool?

45 А ко, прочее, Давид Го нарича Господ, как е негов син?

If then David doth call him lord, how is he his son?'

46 И никой не можеше да Му отговори ни дума; нито пък дръзна вече някой от тоя ден да Му задава въпроси.

And no one was able to answer him a word, nor durst any from that day question him any more.
