1 T he beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Fillimi i Ungjillit të Jezu Krishtit, Birit të Perëndisë.

2 A s it is written in the Prophets: “Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.”

Ashtu si është shkruar tek profetët: “Ja, unë po dërgoj lajmëtarin tim para fytyrës tënde, i cili do të përgatit udhën tënde përpara teje.

3 “ The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the L ord; Make His paths straight.’”

Ka një zë që bërtet në shkretëtirë: "Përgatitni udhën e Zotit, drejtoni shtigjet e tij".”

4 J ohn came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

Gjoni erdhi në shkretëtirë duke pagëzuar dhe duke predikuar një pagëzim pendese për faljen e mëkateve.

5 T hen all the land of Judea, and those from Jerusalem, went out to him and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins.

Dhe gjithë vendi i Judës dhe ata nga Jeruzalemi shkonin tek ai, dhe pagëzoheshin të gjithë nga ai në lumin Jordan, duke rrëfyer mëkatet e tyre.

6 N ow John was clothed with camel’s hair and with a leather belt around his waist, and he ate locusts and wild honey.

7 A nd he preached, saying, “There comes One after me who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loose.

Ai predikonte duke thënë: “Pas meje po vjen një që është më i fortë se unë. Unë nuk jam i denjë as të ulem para tij për t’i zgjidhur lidhësat e sandaleve të tij.

8 I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” John Baptizes Jesus

Unë ju pagëzova me ujë, ndërsa ai do t’ju pagëzojë me Frymën e Shenjtë.”

9 I t came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan.

Dhe ndodhi në ato ditë që Jezusi erdhi nga Nazareti i Galilesë dhe u pagëzua nga Gjoni në Jordan.

10 A nd immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove.

Dhe menjëherë, kur po dilte nga uji, pa se qiejtë po hapeshin dhe Fryma po zbriste mbi të si një pëllumb.

11 T hen a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Satan Tempts Jesus

Dhe një zë erdhi nga qielli: “Ti je Biri im i dashur në të cilin jam kënaqur.

12 I mmediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness.

Fill pas kësaj, Fryma e Shenjtë e çoi në shkretëtirë;

13 A nd He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him. Jesus Begins His Galilean Ministry

dhe qëndroi në shkretëtirë dyzet ditë, i tunduar nga Satanai. Ishte bashkë me bishat dhe engjëjt i shërbenin.

14 N ow after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

Dhe mbasi e burgosën Gjonin, Jezusi erdhi në Galile duke predikuar ungjillin e mbretërisë së Perëndisë,

15 a nd saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” Four Fishermen Called as Disciples

dhe duke thënë: “U mbush koha dhe mbretëria e Perëndisë është afër. Pendohuni dhe besoni ungjillin.”

16 A nd as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

Ndërsa po kalonte gjatë bregut të detit të Galilesë, ai pa Simonin dhe Andrean, vëllanë e tij, të cilët po hidhnin rrjetën në det sepse ishin peshkatarë.

17 T hen Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

Dhe Jezusi u tha atyre: “Ndiqmëni dhe unë do t’ju bëj peshkatarë njerëzish.”

18 T hey immediately left their nets and followed Him.

Dhe ata i lanë menjëherë rrjetat dhe e ndoqën.

19 W hen He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets.

Mbasi eci edhe pak, pa Jakobin, bir in e Zebedeut dhe Gjonin, vëllanë e tij, të cilët ndreqnin rrjetat e tyre në barkë.

20 A nd immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him. Jesus Casts Out an Unclean Spirit

Dhe i thirri menjëherë; dhe ata e lanë atin e tyre Zebedeun në barkë me mëditësit dhe e ndoqën.

21 T hen they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught.

Pastaj hynë në Kapernaum dhe menjëherë, ditën e shtunë, ai hyri në sinagogë dhe i mësonte njerëzit.

22 A nd they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Dhe njerëzit habiteshin nga doktrina e tij, sepse ai i mësonte si një që ka pushtet dhe jo si skribët.

23 N ow there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out,

Atëherë në sinagogën e tyre ishte një njeri i pushtuar nga një frymë e ndyrë, i cili filloi të bërtasë,

24 s aying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”

duke thënë: “Ç’ka midis nesh dhe teje, o Jezus Nazareas? A erdhe të na shkatë-rrosh? Unë e di kush je: I Shenjti i Perëndisë.”

25 B ut Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”

Por Jezusi e qortoi duke thënë: “Hesht dhe dil prej tij!.”

26 A nd when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him.

Dhe fryma e ndyrë, mbasi e sfiliti, dhe duke lëshuar një britmë të madhe doli prej tij.

27 T hen they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.”

Dhe të gjithë u mahnitën aq shumë sa pyesnin njeri tjetrin duke thënë: “Vallë ç’është kjo? Cfarë doktrinë e re qënka kjo? Ky i urdhëroka me autoritet edhe frymërat e ndyra, dhe ata i binden.”

28 A nd immediately His fame spread throughout all the region around Galilee. Peter’s Mother-in-Law Healed

Dhe fama e tij u përhap menjëherë në mbarë krahinën përreth Galilesë.

29 N ow as soon as they had come out of the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

Sapo dolën nga sinagoga, erdhën në shtëpinë e Simonit dhe të Andreas, me Jakobin dhe Gjonin.

30 B ut Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once.

Vjehrra e Simonit ishte në shtrat me ethe dhe ata menjëherë i folën për të.

31 S o He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them. Many Healed After Sabbath Sunset

Atëhërë ai u afrua, e kapi për dore dhe e ngriti. Menjëherë ethet e lanë dhe ajo nisi t’u shërbejë.

32 A t evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were demon-possessed.

Në mbrëmje, pas perëndimit të diellit, i prunë të gjithë të sëmurit dhe të idemonizuarit.

33 A nd the whole city was gathered together at the door.

Dhe gjithë qyteti ishte mbledhur përpara derës.

34 T hen He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons; and He did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him. Preaching in Galilee

Ai shëroi shumë, që lëngonin nga sëmundje të ndryshme, dhe dëboi shumë demonë; dhe nuk i lejoi demonët të flasin, sepse ata e njihnin.

35 N ow in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.

Pastaj, të nesërmen në mëngjes, kur ende ishte shumë errët, Jezusi u ngrit, doli dhe shkoi në një vend të vetmuar dhe atje u lut.

36 A nd Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him.

Dhe Simoni dhe ata që ishin me të e kërkonin.

37 W hen they found Him, they said to Him, “Everyone is looking for You.”

Dhe, kur e gjetën, i thanë: “Të gjithë po të kerkojnë!.”

38 B ut He said to them, “Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth.”

Dhe ai u tha atyre: “Lë të shkojmë në fshatrat e afërm që të predikoj edhe atje, sepse për këtë kam ardhur.”

39 A nd He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons. Jesus Cleanses a Leper

Dhe ai e përshkoi gjithë Galilenë duke predikuar nëpër sinagogat e tyre dhe duke dëbuar demonët.

40 N ow a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”

Dhe erdhi tek ai një lebroz i cili, duke iu lutur, ra në gjunj dhe i tha: “Po të duash, ti mund të më pastrosh.”

41 T hen Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.”

Dhe Jezusi, duke e mëshiruar, shtriu dorën, e preku dhe i tha: “Po, e dua, qofsh pastruar!.”

42 A s soon as He had spoken, immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.

Dhe, posa tha këto, menjëherë lebra e la dhe u shërua.

43 A nd He strictly warned him and sent him away at once,

Pastaj, mbasi e paralajmëroi rreptësisht, menjëherë e largoi,

44 a nd said to him, “See that you say nothing to anyone; but go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing those things which Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”

duke i thënë: “Ruhu se i tregon gjë ndokujt, por shko, paraqitu te prifti dhe ofro për pastrimin tënd sa ka urdhëruar Moisiu, si dëshmi për ta.”

45 H owever, he went out and began to proclaim it freely, and to spread the matter, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter the city, but was outside in deserted places; and they came to Him from every direction.

Por ai, sapo doli, filloi ta shpallë dhe ta përhapë fort faktin, sa që Jezusi nuk mund të hynte më publikisht në qytet, por qëndronte përjashta nëpër vende të vetmuara; dhe nga çdo anë vinin tek ai.
