1 W hy are the nations in an uproar And the peoples devising a vain thing?

¿Por qué se sublevan las naciones, y los pueblos traman cosas vanas ?

2 T he kings of the earth take their stand And the rulers take counsel together Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,

Se levantan los reyes de la tierra, y los gobernantes traman unidos contra el Señor y contra su Ungido, diciendo:

3 “ Let us tear their fetters apart And cast away their cords from us!”

¡Rompamos sus cadenas y echemos de nosotros sus cuerdas!

4 H e who sits in the heavens laughs, The Lord scoffs at them.

El que se sienta como Rey en los cielos se ríe, el Señor se burla de ellos.

5 T hen He will speak to them in His anger And terrify them in His fury, saying,

Luego les hablará en su ira, y en su furor los aterrará, diciendo:

6 “ But as for Me, I have installed My King Upon Zion, My holy mountain.”

Pero yo mismo he consagrado a mi Rey sobre Sion, mi santo monte.

7 “ I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.

Ciertamente anunciaré el decreto del Señor que me dijo: “Mi Hijo eres tú, yo te he engendrado hoy.

8 ‘ Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.

“Pídeme, y te daré las naciones como herencia tuya, y como posesión tuya los confines de la tierra.

9 ‘ You shall break them with a rod of iron, You shall shatter them like earthenware.’”

“Tú los quebrantarás con vara de hierro; los desmenuzarás como vaso de alfarero.”

10 N ow therefore, O kings, show discernment; Take warning, O judges of the earth.

Ahora pues, oh reyes, mostrad discernimiento; recibid amonestación, oh jueces de la tierra.

11 W orship the Lord with reverence And rejoice with trembling.

Adorad al Señor con reverencia, y alegraos con temblor.

12 D o homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way, For His wrath may soon be kindled. How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!

Honrad al Hijo para que no se enoje y perezcáis en el camino, pues puede inflamarse de repente su ira. ¡Cuán bienaventurados son todos los que en El se refugian!
