1 T his third time do I come unto you; on the mouth of two witnesses or three shall every saying be established;

Ja, kjo është e treta herë që po vij te ju. “Çdo gjë do të qëndrojë me gojën e dy a tre dëshmitarëve.”

2 I have said before, and I say before, as being present, the second time, and being absent, now, do I write to those having sinned before, and to all the rest, that if I come again, I will not spare,

E thashë edhe më parë, kur isha i pranishëm te ju për të dytën herë, dhe po e them tani që jam larg jush. Po u shkruaj atyre që kanë mëkatuar më përpara dhe të gjithë të tjerëve se, po të vij përsëri, nuk do të kursej njeri.

3 s ince a proof ye seek of the Christ speaking in me, who to you is not infirm, but is powerful in you,

Sepse ju kërkoni provën e Krishtit që flet në mua; dhe ai s’është i dobët ndaj jush, por është i fuqishëm në ju.

4 f or even if he was crucified from infirmity, yet he doth live from the power of God; for we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him from the power of God toward you.

Sepse, megjithëse ai u kryqëzua në dobësinë e tij, ai po rron nëpërmjet fuqisë së Perëndisë, sepse edhe ne jemi të dobët në të, por do të rrojmë me të nëpërmjet fuqisë së Perëndisë ndaj nesh.

5 Y our ownselves try ye, if ye are in the faith; your ownselves prove ye; do ye not know your ownselves, that Jesus Christ is in you, if ye be not in some respect disapproved of?

Analizoni veten tuaj a jeni në besim; provoni veten tuaj! A thua nuk e njihni vetveten se Jezu Krishti është në ju? Veç në qofshi të përjashtuar.

6 a nd I hope that ye shall know that we -- we are not disapproved of;

Por unë shpresoj se ju do ta njihni se ne nuk jemi të përjashtuar.

7 a nd I pray before God that ye do no evil, not that we may appear approved, but that ye may do that which is right, and we may be as disapproved;

Edhe i lutem Perëndisë që të mos bëni ndonjë të keqe, jo që të dukemi të miratuar, por që ju të bëni atë që është e mirë edhe sikur ne të ishim të përjashtuar.

8 f or we are not able to do anything against the truth, but for the truth;

Ne në fakt nuk kemi asnjë forcë kundër së vërtetës, por vetëm pro së vërtetës.

9 f or we rejoice when we may be infirm, and ye may be powerful; and this also we pray for -- your perfection!

Sepse ne gëzohemi kur jemi të dobët dhe ju jeni të fortë; dhe ne lutemi edhe për këtë: për përsosjen tuaj.

10 b ecause of this, these things -- being absent -- I write, that being present, I may not treat sharply, according to the authority that the Lord did give me for building up, and not for casting down.

Prandaj i shkruaj këto gjëra, kur jam larg jush, që, kur të jem i pranishëm, të mos sillem me ashpërsi, sipas autoritetit që më ka dhënë Zoti për të ndërtuar e jo për të prishur.

11 H enceforth, brethren, rejoice; be made perfect, be comforted, be of the same mind, be at peace, and the God of the love and peace shall be with you;

Më në fund, o vëllezër, gëzohuni, përsosuni, ngushëllohuni, jini të një mendje, jetoni në paqe; dhe Perëndia i dashurisë dhe i paqes do të jetë me ju.

12 s alute one another in an holy kiss;

Përshëndetni njeri tjetrin me një puthje të shenjtë,

13 s alute you do all the saints;

të gjithë shenjtorët ju përshëndesin.

14 t he grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, with you all! Amen.
