1 L ăudaţi-L pe Domnul! Suflete al meu, laudă-L pe Domnul!

Hallelujah! Praise Jehovah, O my soul.

2 Î l voi lăuda pe Domnul toată viaţa mea; Îi voi cânta Dumnezeului meu cât timp voi fi!

As long as I live will I praise Jehovah; I will sing psalms unto my God while I have my being.

3 N u vă încredeţi în cei mari, în fiii oamenilor care nu pot izbăvi.

Put not confidence in nobles, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation.

4 C ând îl părăseşte duhul, se întoarce în ţărână şi în aceeaşi zi îi pier toate planurile.

His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his purposes perish.

5 F erice de cel ce Îl are pe Dumnezeul lui Iacov ca ajutor şi a cărui nădejde este în Domnul, Dumnezeul lui,

Blessed is he who hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Jehovah his God,

6 C reatorul cerurilor şi al pământului, al mării şi a tot ce cuprinde ea, Păzitorul adevărului pe veci,

Who made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is therein; who keepeth truth for ever;

7 C el Ce susţine cauza celor asupriţi, Cel Ce dă pâine celor flămânzi, Domnul Care eliberează prizonierii,

Who executeth judgment for the oppressed, who giveth bread to the hungry. Jehovah looseth the prisoners;

8 D omnul Care deschide ochii orbilor, Domnul Care îi îndreaptă pe cei încovoiaţi, Domnul Care îi iubeşte pe cei drepţi,

Jehovah openeth the blind; Jehovah raiseth up them that are bowed down; Jehovah loveth the righteous;

9 D omnul Care îi poartă de grijă străinului, sprijină orfanul şi văduva, dar răstoarnă calea celor răi.

Jehovah preserveth the strangers; he lifteth up the fatherless and the widow; but the way of the wicked doth he subvert.

10 D omnul împărăţeşte pe veci, Dumnezeul tău, Sioane, din generaţie în generaţie! Lăudaţi-L pe Domnul!

Jehovah will reign for ever, thy God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Halleluiah!
