1 A nd David spake unto the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul:

Тогава Давид изговори пред Господа думите на тази песен в деня, когато Господ го беше избавил от ръката на всичките му неприятели и от ръката на Саул:

2 a nd he said, The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;

Господ е скала моя, крепост моя и Избавител мой.

3 t he God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

Бог е моя канара, на Когото се надявам. Щит мой и рог на избавлението ми. Висока моя кула е и прибежище ми е. Спасител мой е. Ти ме избавяш от насилие.

4 I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Ще призова Господа, Който е достохвален; така ще бъда избавен от неприятелите си.

5 W hen the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid;

Защото вълните на смъртта ме окръжиха, порои от беззакония ме уплашиха;

6 t he sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me;

връзките на ада ме обвиха, примките на смъртта ме застигнаха.

7 i n my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.

В утеснението си призовах Господа и към моя Бог извиках; и от храма Си Той чу гласа ми и викът ми стигна до ушите Му.

8 T hen the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth.

Тогава се поклати и се потресе земята. Основите на небето се разлюляха и потрепериха, защото Той се разгневи.

9 T here went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

Дим се издигаше от ноздрите Му и поглъщащ огън - от устата Му; въглени се разпалиха от Него.

10 H e bowed the heavens also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.

Той сведе небето и слезе, и мрак беше под краката Му.

11 A nd he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: and he was seen upon the wings of the wind.

Възседна на херувими и летя, и се яви на крилата на вятъра.

12 A nd he made darkness pavilions round about him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies.

Положи за скиния около Себе Си тъмнината, събраните води, гъстите въздушни облаци.

13 T hrough the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled.

От светкавиците пред Него огнени въглени се разпалиха.

14 T he Lord thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice.

Гръмна Господ от небето, Всевишният даде гласа Си.

15 A nd he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them.

Изстреля стрели и ги разпръсна, светкавици - и ги смути.

16 A nd the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the Lord, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils.

Тогава се видяха морските дълбини, откриха се основите на света от изобличението на Господа, от диханието на ноздрите Му.

17 H e sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters;

Прати от височината, взе ме, извлече ме от големи води.

18 h e delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me: for they were too strong for me.

Избави ме от силния ми неприятел, от онези, които ме мразеха, защото бяха по-силни от мене.

19 T hey prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay.

Стигнаха ме в деня на бедствието ми; но Господ ми стана опора.

20 H e brought me forth also into a large place: he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

И ме изведе нашироко, избави ме, защото има̀ благоволение към мене.

21 T he Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness: according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

Господ ми въздаде според правдата ми; според чистотата на ръцете ми ме възнагради.

22 F or I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

Защото съм опазил пътищата Господни и не съм се отклонил от Бога мой в нечестие.

23 F or all his judgments were before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.

Защото всичките Му закони са били пред мен; и от наредбите Му не съм се отдалечил.

24 I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.

Непорочен бях пред Него и се опазих от беззаконието си.

25 T herefore the Lord hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.

Затова Господ ми въздаде според правдата ми, според чистотата ми пред очите Му.

26 W ith the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, and with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.

Към милостивия, Господи, милостив ще се явиш, към непорочния непорочен ще се явиш,

27 W ith the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury.

към чистия чист ще се явиш, а към развратния противен ще се явиш.

28 A nd the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou mayest bring them down.

Оскърбен народ Ти ще спасиш; а горделивите с поглед ще смириш.

29 F or thou art my lamp, O Lord: and the Lord will lighten my darkness.

Защото Ти, Господи, си светилник мой; и Господ ще озари тъмнината ми.

30 F or by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.

Защото чрез Тебе разбивам войска; чрез Бога мой прескачам стена.

31 A s for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

Колкото до Бога, Неговият път е съвършен. Словото на Господа е опитано. Той е щит на всички, които се уповават на Него.

32 F or who is God, save the Lord ? and who is a rock, save our God?

Защото кой е Бог освен Господ? И кой е канара освен нашия Бог?

33 G od is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

Бог е силната ми крепост и прави съвършен пътя ми;

34 H e maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: and setteth me upon my high places.

прави краката ми като краката на елените и ме поставя на високите места.

35 H e teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

Учи ръцете ми да воюват, така че мишците ми опъват меден лък.

36 T hou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy gentleness hath made me great.

Ти си ми дал и щита на избавлението Си; и Твоята благост ме е направила велик.

37 T hou hast enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip.

Ти си разширил стъпките ми под мен; и краката ми не се подхлъзнаха.

38 I have pursued mine enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them.

Гоних неприятелите си и ги изтребих, и не се върнах, докато не ги довърших.

39 A nd I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: yea, they are fallen under my feet.

Довърших ги, стрих ги и не можаха да се повдигнат, а паднаха под краката ми.

40 F or thou hast girded me with strength to battle: them that rose up against me hast thou subdued under me.

Защото си ме препасал със сила за бой; повалил си под мене въставащите против мене.

41 T hou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.

Направил Си да обърнат гръб към мене неприятелите ми, за да изтребя онези, които ме мразят.

42 T hey looked, but there was none to save; even unto the Lord, but he answered them not.

Погледнаха, но нямаше избавител - към Господа, но не ги послуша.

43 T hen did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad.

Тогава ги стрих като земния прах, сгазих ги, както калта на пътищата, и ги стъпках.

44 T hou also hast delivered me from the strivings of my people, thou hast kept me to be head of the heathen: a people which I knew not shall serve me.

Ти си ме избавил и от бунта на народа ми. Поставил си ме глава на народите. Народ, който не познавах, ми слугува.

45 S trangers shall submit themselves unto me: as soon as they hear, they shall be obedient unto me.

Чужденците ми се покориха; щом чуха за мене, те ме послушаха.

46 S trangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their close places.

Чужденците отслабнаха и разтреперани излязоха от местата, където се бяха затворили.

47 T he Lord liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation.

Жив е Господ и благословена да бъде Канарата ми. Да се възвиси Бог, моята спасителна скала,

48 I t is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me,

Бог, Който отмъщава за мен и покорява племена под мене,

49 a nd that bringeth me forth from mine enemies: thou also hast lifted me up on high above them that rose up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

Който ме извежда изсред неприятелите ми. Да! Възвисяваш ме над въставащите против мен, избавяш ме от насилника.

50 T herefore I will give thanks unto thee, O Lord, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.

Затова ще Те хваля, Господи, между народите и на името Ти ще пея.

51 H e is the tower of salvation for his king: and sheweth mercy to his anointed, unto David, and to his seed for evermore.

Ти си, Който даваш велико избавление на царя Си и показваш милосърдие към помазаника Си, към Давид и потомството му довека.
