3 O f the sons of Shechaniah, of the sons of Pharosh; Zechariah: and with him were reckoned by genealogy of the males an hundred and fifty.

От потомците на Сехания, от Фаросовите потомци - Захария, и с него бяха преброени по родословието на всички от мъжки пол сто и петдесет души.

4 O f the sons of Pahath-moab; Elihoenai the son of Zerahiah, and with him two hundred males.

От Фаат-Моавовите потомци - Зарайевият син Елиоинай, и с него двеста души от мъжки пол.

5 O f the sons of Shechaniah; the son of Jahaziel, and with him three hundred males.

От Сеханиевите потомци - Яазииловият син, и с него триста души от мъжки пол.

6 O f the sons also of Adin; Ebed the son of Jonathan, and with him fifty males.

От Адиновите потомци - Йонатановият син Евед, и с него петдесет души от мъжки пол.

7 A nd of the sons of Elam; Jeshaiah the son of Athaliah, and with him seventy males.

От Еламовите потомци - Готолиевият син Исая, и с него седемдесет души от мъжки пол.

8 A nd of the sons of Shephatiah; Zebadiah the son of Michael, and with him fourscore males.

От Сефатиевите потомци - Михаиловият син Зевадия, и с него осемдесет души от мъжки пол.

9 O f the sons of Joab; Obadiah the son of Jehiel, and with him two hundred and eighteen males.

От Йоавовите потомци - Ехииловият син Авдий, и с него двеста и осемнадесет души от мъжки пол.

10 A nd of the sons of Shelomith; the son of Josiphiah, and with him an hundred and threescore males.

От Селомитовите потомци - Йосифиевият син, и с него сто и шестдесет души от мъжки пол.

11 A nd of the sons of Bebai; Zechariah the son of Bebai, and with him twenty and eight males.

От Винаевите потомци - Захария, Виваевият син, и с него двадесет и осем души от мъжки пол.

12 A nd of the sons of Azgad; Johanan the son of Hakkatan, and with him an hundred and ten males.

От Азгадовите потомци - Йоанан, Акатановият син, и с него сто и десет души от мъжки пол.

13 A nd of the last sons of Adonikam, whose names are these, Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them threescore males.

От следващите, Адоникамовите потомци - следните, чиито имена са: Елифалет, Еиил и Семая, и с тях седемдесет души от мъжки пол.

14 O f the sons also of Bigvai; Uthai, and Zabbud, and with them seventy males.

А от Вагуевите потомци - Утай и Завуд, и с тях седемдесет души от мъжки пол.

15 A nd I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.

Тези събрах при реката, която тече към Аава, и там се разположихме на стан три дни; а като прегледах народа и свещениците, не намерих там нито един от потомците на Левий.

16 T hen sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding.

Тогава пратих за по-видните хора Елиезер, Ариил, Семая, Елнатан, Ярив, Елнатан, Натан, Захария и Месулам, и за благоразумните мъже Йоярив и Елнатан,

17 A nd I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, and to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God.

и им дадох поръчка до началника на мястото Касифия - Идо; и им казах какво да казват на Идо и на братята му, нетинимите на мястото Касифия, да ни изпратят служители за дома на нашия Бог.

18 A nd by the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen;

И понеже добрата ръка на нашия Бог беше над нас, те ни доведоха един разумен човек от потомците на Маалия, син на Левий, син на Израел; също и Саравия със синовете му и братята му, осемнадесет души;

19 a nd Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brethren and their sons, twenty;

и Асавия и с него Исая от Мерариевите потомци, братята му и синовете им, двадесет души;

20 a lso of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name.

и от нетинимите, които Давид и първенците бяха определили за прислуга на левитите, двеста и двадесет нетиними. Всички те бяха споменати по име.

21 T hen I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance.

Тогава прогласих пост там, при реката Аава, за да се смирим пред нашия Бог и да просим от Него добър път за нас, за децата ни и за целия ни имот.

22 F or I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.

Защото ме беше срам да поискам от царя войници и конници, за да ни помагат против неприятели по пътя; понеже бяхме говорили на царя: Ръката на нашия Бог е за добро над всички, които Го търсят, а силата и гневът Му са против всички, които Го изоставят.

23 S o we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us.

И така, постихме и се молихме на нашия Бог за това, и Той ни послуша.

24 T hen I separated twelve of the chief of the priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them,

Тогава отделих дванадесет от главните свещеници - Саравия, Асавия и с тях десет от братята им -

25 a nd weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, even the offering of the house of our God, which the king, and his counsellors, and his lords, and all Israel there present, had offered:

и претеглих от среброто, златото и вещите, които царят, съветниците му и първенците му, и целият Израел, който се намираше там, бяха дали в принос за дома на нашия Бог;

26 I even weighed unto their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels an hundred talents, and of gold an hundred talents;

и така, претеглих в ръката им шестстотин и петдесет таланта сребро, сто таланта сребърни вещи, сто таланта злато,

27 a lso twenty basons of gold, of a thousand drams; and two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold.

двадесет златни блюда, хиляда драхми на тегло и два съда от добра лъскава мед, скъпоценни като злато.

28 A nd I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the Lord; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the Lord God of your fathers.

И им казах: Вие сте святи на Господа и вещите са святи; защото среброто и златото са доброволен принос на Господа, Бога на бащите ви;

29 W atch ye, and keep them, until ye weigh them before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and chief of the fathers of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the Lord.

и така, внимавайте и ги пазете, докато ги претеглите пред началниците на свещениците и левитите и началниците на Израелевите бащини домове в Йерусалим, в стаите на Господния дом.

30 S o took the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem unto the house of our God.

И така, свещениците и левитите приеха среброто, златото и вещите в размер на това тегло, за да ги донесат в Йерусалим в дома на нашия Бог.

31 T hen we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way.

Тогава, на дванадесетия ден от първия месец станахме от реката Аава, за да отидем в Йерусалим; и ръката на нашия Бог беше над нас за добро и ни избави от неприятелска ръка и от причакващи по пътя.

32 A nd we came to Jerusalem, and abode there three days.

И като стигнахме в Йерусалим, седяхме там три дни.

33 N ow on the fourth day was the silver and the gold and the vessels weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest; and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas; and with them was Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, Levites;

А на четвъртия ден в дома на нашия Бог среброто, златото и вещите бяха претеглени в ръката на Меримота, син на свещеник Урия, с когото беше Елеазар, Финеесовият син, и с тях левитите Йозавад, Исусовият син, и Ноадия, Вануевият син -

34 b y number and by weight of every one: and all the weight was written at that time.

всичко бе предадено под брой и по тегло; и цялото тегло бе същевременно записано.

35 A lso the children of those that had been carried away, which were come out of the captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the God of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he goats for a sin offering: all this was a burnt offering unto the Lord.

Завърналите се от плен, които бяха дошли от заточение, принесоха всеизгаряния на Израелевия Бог: дванадесет телета за целия Израел, деветдесет и шест овена, седемдесет и седем агнета и дванадесет козела в принос за грях, всички тях във всеизгаряния на Господа.

36 A nd they delivered the king’s commissions unto the king’s lieutenants, and to the governors on this side the river: and they furthered the people, and the house of God.

И предадоха царските поръчки на царските сатрапи и на областните управители отсам реката; и те помагаха на народа и на Божия дом.
