1 I n those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.

По това време Езекия се разболя до смърт. Пророк Исая, Амосовият син, дойде при него и му каза: Така казва Господ: Нареди за дома си, понеже ще умреш и няма да живееш.

2 T hen Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the Lord,

Тогава Езекия се обърна към стената и се помоли на Господа:

3 a nd said, Remember now, O Lord, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

Моля Ти се, Господи, спомни си сега как ходих пред Тебе с вярност и с цяло сърце и върших това, което беше угодно пред Теб. И Езекия плака горчиво.

4 T hen came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying,

Тогава Господнето слово дойде към Исая и каза:

5 G o, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

Иди и кажи на Езекия: Така казва Господ, Бог на баща ти Давид: Чух молитвата ти, видях сълзите ти; ето, Аз ще добавя към живота ти петнадесет години.

6 A nd I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.

И ще избавя и теб, и този град от ръката на асирийския цар и ще защитя този град.

7 A nd this shall be a sign unto thee from the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing that he hath spoken;

А това ще ти бъде знамението от Господа, че Господ ще извърши това, което каза:

8 b ehold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.

ето, ще върна сянката десет стъпала назад, които е изминала върху слънчевия часовник на Ахаз. И така, слънцето се върна назад десет стъпала, които преди това беше изминало.

9 T he writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness:

Ето какво писа Юдейският цар Езекия, когато се беше разболял и оздравя от болестта си:

10 I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years.

Аз казах: В половината от дните си ще вляза в портите на преизподнята; лиших се от остатъка на годините си.

11 I said, I shall not see the Lord, even the Lord, in the land of the living: I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world.

Казах: Няма да видя вече Господа, Господа, в земята на живите; няма да видя вече човека, като съм между онези, които престанаха да живеят.

12 M ine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd’s tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.

Жилището ми се премести и се вдигна от мене като овчарски шатър; навих живота си като тъкач, от основата Той ще ме отреже; между сутринта и вечерта ще ме довършиш.

13 I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so will he break all my bones: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.

Успокоявах се до сутринта; но Той като лъв троши всичките ми кости; между сутринта и вечерта ще ме довършиш.

14 L ike a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O Lord, I am oppressed; undertake for me.

Като лястовица или жерав - така крещях, стенех като гургулица; очите ми изнемощяха от гледане нагоре. В утеснение съм, Господи; стани ми застъпник.

15 W hat shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it: I shall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.

Какво мога да кажа аз? Той ми каза и сам го изпълни; ще ходя смирено през всичките си години поради огорчението на душата си.

16 O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these things is the life of my spirit: so wilt thou recover me, and make me to live.

Чрез тези неща живеят хората, Господи, и само в тях е животът на моя дух; така ще ме изцелиш и ще ме съживиш.

17 B ehold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.

Ето, излезе за моя мир, когато имах голяма мъка; и Ти, от любов към душата ми, си я избавил от рова на тлението, защото си хвърлил зад гърба Си всичките ми грехове.

18 F or the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.

Защото преизподнята не може да Те хвали; смъртта не може да Те славослови; онези, които слизат в рова, не могат да се надяват на Твоята вярност.

19 T he living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.

Живият, живият, той ще Те хвали, както аз днес; бащата ще извести на децата си Твоята вярност.

20 T he Lord was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of the Lord.

Господ е близо да ме спаси; затова ще пеем моите песни със струнни инструменти в дома Господен през всички дни на живота си.

21 F or Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.

А Исая беше казал: Нека вземат наниз смокини и ги сложат за компрес на цирея - и царят ще оздравее.

22 H ezekiah also had said, What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the Lord ?

Също и Езекия беше казал: Какво е знамението, че ще отида в Господния дом?
