1 T hen said Solomon, The Lord hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

Тогава Соломон говорѝ: Господ е казал, че ще обитава в мрак;

2 B ut I have built an house of habitation for thee, and a place for thy dwelling for ever.

но аз Ти построих дом за обитаване, място, в което да пребиваваш вечно.

3 A nd the king turned his face, and blessed the whole congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood.

После царят обърна лицето си и благослови цялото Израелево общество, докато цялото Израелево общество стоеше на крака, като каза:

4 A nd he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who hath with his hands fulfilled that which he spake with his mouth to my father David, saying,

Благословен да бъде Господ, Израелевият Бог, Който извърши с ръцете Си онова, което говорѝ с устата Си на баща ми Давид:

5 S ince the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build an house in, that my name might be there; neither chose I any man to be a ruler over my people Israel:

От деня, когато изведох народа Си от Египетската земя, не избрах измежду всички Израелеви племена нито един град, където да се построи дом, за да се настани името Ми там, нито избрах мъж, за да бъде вожд на народа Ми Израел;

6 b ut I have chosen Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and have chosen David to be over my people Israel.

а избрах Йерусалим, за да се настани там името Ми, и избрах Давид, за да бъде над народа Ми Израел;

7 N ow it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the Lord God of Israel.

и в сърцето на баща ми Давид дойде да построи дом за името на Господа, Израелевия Бог.

8 B ut the Lord said to David my father, Forasmuch as it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well in that it was in thine heart:

Но Господ каза на баща ми Давид: Понеже дойде в сърцето ти да построиш дом за името Ми, добре си сторил, че е дошло това в сърцето ти.

9 n otwithstanding thou shalt not build the house; but thy son which shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name.

Ти обаче няма да построиш дома; но синът ти, който ще излезе от чреслата ти, той ще построи дом за името Ми.

10 T he Lord therefore hath performed his word that he hath spoken: for I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, as the Lord promised, and have built the house for the name of the Lord God of Israel.

И така, Господ изпълни словото, което говорѝ; и като се издигнах аз вместо баща си Давид и седнах на Израелевия престол, според както говорѝ Господ, построих дома за името на Господа, Израелевия Бог.

11 A nd in it have I put the ark, wherein is the covenant of the Lord, that he made with the children of Israel.

И там сложих ковчега, в който е заветът, който Господ сключи с израелтяните.

12 A nd he stood before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands:

Тогава Соломон застана пред Господния жертвеник, пред цялото Израелево общество и простря ръцете си.

13 f or Solomon had made a brasen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven,

(Защото Соломон беше направил медна платформа, която беше пет лакътя дълга, пет лакътя широка и пет лакътя висока, която беше положил сред двора, и като застана на нея, падна на коленете си пред цялото Израелево общество.) И така, той простря ръцете си към небето и каза:

14 a nd said, O Lord God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and shewest mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts:

Господи, Боже Израелев, няма на небето и на земята Бог, подобен на Тебе, Който пазиш завета и милостта към слугите Си, които ходят пред Тебе с цялото си сърце;

15 t hou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.

Който си изпълнил към слугата Си Давид, баща ми, това, което си му обещал; да! - това, което си говорил с устата Си, него си и свършил с ръката Си, както се вижда днес.

16 N ow therefore, O Lord God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.

Сега, Господи, Боже Израелев, изпълни към слугата Си Давид, баща ми, онова, което си му обещал, като си казал: Няма да ти липсва мъж, който да седи пред Мене на Израелевия престол, ако само синовете ти внимават в пътя си, за да ходят в закона Ми, както ти си ходил пред Мен.

17 N ow then, O Lord God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou hast spoken unto thy servant David.

И така, сега, Господи, Боже Израелев, нека се потвърди словото, което си говорил на слугата Си Давид.

18 B ut will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!

Но Бог наистина ли ще обитава с човека на земята? Ето, небето и небето на небесата не са достатъчни да Те поберат; а колко по-малко този дом, който построих!

19 H ave respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O Lord my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee:

Но пак погледни благосклонно към молитвата на слугата Си и към молбата му, Господи, Боже мой, така че да послушаш вика и молитвата, с която слугата Ти се моли пред Тебе,

20 t hat thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place.

за да бъдат очите Ти денем и нощем отворени към този дом, към мястото, за което Ти си казал, че ще настаниш името Си там, за да слушаш молитвата, с която слугата Ти ще се моли на това място.

21 H earken therefore unto the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, which they shall make toward this place: hear thou from thy dwelling place, even from heaven; and when thou hearest, forgive.

Слушай молбите на слугата Си и на народа Си Израел, когато се молят на това място; да! Слушай Ти от местообиталището Си от небето и като слушаш, бъди милостив.

22 I f a man sin against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house;

Ако някой съгреши спрямо ближния си и му се наложи клетва, за да се закълне, и той дойде и се закълне пред жертвеника Ти в Твоя дом,

23 t hen hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness.

тогава Ти послушай от небето и подействай, извърши правосъдие за слугите Си и въздай на беззаконника, така че да възвърнеш делото му върху главата му, а оправдай праведния, като му отдадеш според правдата му.

24 A nd if thy people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee; and shall return and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication before thee in this house;

Ако народът Ти Израел бъде разбит пред неприятеля по причина, че са съгрешили пред Теб, и се обърнат, и изповядат Твоето име, и принесат молитва, като се помолят пред Тебе в Твоя дом,

25 t hen hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers.

тогава Ти послушай от небето и прости греха на народа Си Израел, и ги върни в земята, която си дал на тях и на бащите им.

26 W hen the heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; yet if they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou dost afflict them;

Когато се затвори небето и не вали дъжд по причина, че са съгрешили пред Теб, ако се помолят на това място и изповядат Твоето име, и се отвърнат от греховете си, понеже ги съкрушаваш,

27 t hen hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou hast taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.

тогава Ти послушай от небето и прости греха на слугите Си и на народа Си Израел, и им покажи добрия път, по който трябва да ходят, и дай дъжд на земята Си, която си дал в наследство на народа Си.

28 I f there be dearth in the land, if there be pestilence, if there be blasting, or mildew, locusts, or caterpillers; if their enemies besiege them in the cities of their land; whatsoever sore or whatsoever sickness there be:

Ако настане глад на земята, ако настане мор, ако се появят изсушителен вятър, мана, скакалци и гъсеници, ако неприятелите им ги обсадят в градовете на земята им - ако се появи между тях каква да е язва или каква да е болест,

29 t hen what prayer or what supplication soever shall be made of any man, or of all thy people Israel, when every one shall know his own sore and his own grief, and shall spread forth his hands in this house:

тогава всяка молитва, всяка молба, която би била принесена от когото и да било човек или от целия Ти народ Израел, когато всеки познае раната и болката си и простре ръцете си към Твоя дом,

30 t hen hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:)

Ти послушай от небето, от местообиталището Си и прости, и въздай на всеки според всичките му постъпки, като познаваш сърцето му (защото Ти, само Ти познаваш сърцата на човешкия род),

31 t hat they may fear thee, to walk in thy ways, so long as they live in the land which thou gavest unto our fathers.

за да се боят от Тебе, като ходят в Твоите пътища, през цялото време, когато живеят на земята, която си дал на бащите ни.

32 M oreover concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name’s sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house;

А за чужденеца, който още не е от народа Ти Израел, но идва от далечна страна заради Твоето велико име и заради Твоята мощна ръка, и заради Твоята издигната мишца - когато дойдат и се помолят в Твоя дом,

33 t hen hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.

тогава послушай от небето, от местообиталището Си, и подействай според всичко, за което чужденецът Те призове; за да познаят името Ти всички племена на света и да се боят от Тебе, както народът Ти Израел, и да познаят, че с Твоето име бе наречен този дом, който построих.

34 I f thy people go out to war against their enemies by the way that thou shalt send them, and they pray unto thee toward this city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name;

Ако народът Ти излезе на бой против неприятелите си, където би го пратил Ти, и Ти се помоли, като се обърне към този град, който Ти си избрал, и към дома, който построих на Твоето име,

35 t hen hear thou from the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

тогава послушай от небето молитвата им и моленето им и защити правото им.

36 I f they sin against thee, (for there is no man which sinneth not,) and thou be angry with them, and deliver them over before their enemies, and they carry them away captives unto a land far off or near;

Ако съгрешат пред Тебе (защото няма човек, който да не греши) и Ти се разгневиш на тях и ги предадеш на неприятеля, и пленителите им ги заведат пленници в земя, далечна или близка,

37 y et if they bethink themselves in the land whither they are carried captive, and turn and pray unto thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have done amiss, and have dealt wickedly;

и дойдат на себе си в земята, където са отведени пленници, и се обърнат, и Ти се помолят в земята, където са пленени, и кажат: Съгрешихме, беззаконствахме, извършихме неправда,

38 i f they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, whither they have carried them captives, and pray toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, and toward the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house which I have built for thy name:

и се обърнат към Тебе с цялото си сърце и с цялата си душа в земята, където са пленени, където са ги завели пленници, и се помолят, като се обърнат към земята си, която си дал на бащите им, към града, който си избрал, и към дома, който построих на Твоето име,

39 t hen hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive thy people which have sinned against thee.

тогава Ти послушай от небето, от местообиталището Си молитвата им и молбата им, защити правото им и прости на народа Си, който е съгрешил пред Тебе.

40 N ow, my God, let, I beseech thee, thine eyes be open, and let thine ears be attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

Сега, моля Ти се, Боже мой, нека бъдат отворени очите Ти и внимателни ушите Ти към молитвата, която се принася на това място.

41 N ow therefore arise, O Lord God, into thy resting place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O Lord God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness.

И така, стани сега, Господи Боже, влез в покоя Си, Ти и ковчегът на Твоята сила; свещениците Ти, Господи Боже, да бъдат облечени със спасение и светиите Ти нека се веселят в блага.

42 O Lord God, turn not away the face of thine anointed: remember the mercies of David thy servant.

Господи Боже, недей отблъсква лицето на помазаника Си; помни милостите, които Си показал към слугата Си Давид.
