2 E l Señor ama las puertas de Sion más que todas las otras moradas de Jacob.

The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob (Israel).

3 C osas gloriosas se dicen de ti, oh ciudad de Dios: (Selah )

Glorious things are spoken of you, O city of God. Selah!

4 M encionaré a Rahab y a Babilonia entre los que me conocen; he aquí, Filistea y Tiro con Etiopía; de sus moradores se dirá: “Este nació allí.”

I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among those who know —behold, Philistia and Tyre, with Ethiopia (Cush)—, This man was born there.

5 P ero de Sion se dirá: Este y aquél nacieron en ella; y el Altísimo mismo la establecerá.

Yes, of Zion it shall be said, This man and that man were born in her, for the Most High Himself will establish her.

6 E l Señor contará al inscribir los pueblos: Este nació allí. (Selah)

The Lord shall count, when He registers the peoples, that this man was born there. Selah!

7 E ntonces tanto los cantores como los flautistas, dirán: En ti están todas mis fuentes de gozo.

The singers as well as the players on instruments shall say, All my springs (my sources of life and joy) are in you.
