1 A lcé de nuevo mis ojos y miré, y he aquí cuatro carros que salían de entre dos montes; y los montes eran montes de bronce.

And again I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of firm, immovable bronze.

2 D el primer carro tiraban caballos rojos, del segundo carro caballos negros,

The first chariot had red or bay horses, the second chariot had black horses,

3 d el tercer carro caballos blancos y del cuarto carro fuertes caballos tordos.

The third chariot had white horses, and the fourth chariot had dappled, active, and strong horses.

4 E ntonces hablé, y dije al ángel que hablaba conmigo: ¿Qué son éstos, señor mío ?

Then I said to the angel who talked with me, What are these, my lord?

5 Y el ángel contestó, y me dijo: Estos son los cuatro vientos del cielo que salen después de presentarse ante el Señor de toda la tierra.

And the angel answered me, These are the four winds or spirits of the heavens, which go forth from presenting themselves before the Lord of all the earth.

6 C on uno de ellos salen los caballos negros hacia la tierra del norte, y los blancos salen tras ellos, mientras los tordos salen hacia la tierra del sur.

The chariot with the black horses is going forth into the north country, and the white ones are going forth after them, and the dappled ones are going forth toward the south country.

7 B riosos salían, impacientes por ir a recorrer la tierra. Y El dijo: Id, recorred la tierra. Y recorrieron la tierra.

And the strong went forth and sought to go that they might patrol the earth. And said to them, Go, walk to and fro through the earth and patrol it. So they walked about through the earth.

8 E ntonces me llamó y me habló, diciendo: Mira, los que salen hacia la tierra del norte aplacan mi espíritu en la tierra del norte. La corona simbólica

Then He summoned me and said to me, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted My Spirit and have caused it to rest in the north country.

9 Y vino la palabra del Señor a mí, diciendo:

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

10 T oma ofrendas de los desterrados, de Heldai, de Tobías y de Jedaías; y el mismo día ve y entra en la casa de Josías, hijo de Sofonías, adonde ellos han llegado de Babilonia.

Accept donations and offerings from these exiles, from Heldai, from Tobijah, and from Jedaiah, who have come from Babylon; and come the same day and go to the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah.

11 T oma plata y oro, haz una corona y pon la en la cabeza del sumo sacerdote Josué, hijo de Josadac.

Yes, take from them silver and gold, and make crowns and set upon the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest,

12 Y háblale, diciendo: “Así dice el Señor de los ejércitos: ‘He aquí un hombre cuyo nombre es Renuevo, porque El brotará del lugar donde está y reedificará el templo del Señor.

And say to him, Thus says the Lord of hosts: behold (look at, keep in sight, watch) the Man whose name is the Branch, for He shall grow up in His place and He shall build the temple of the Lord.

13 ‘ Sí, El reedificará el templo del Señor, y El llevará gloria y se sentará y gobernará en su trono. Será sacerdote sobre su trono y habrá consejo de paz entre los dos oficios.’”

Yes, it is He Who shall build the temple of the Lord, and He shall bear the honor and glory and shall sit and rule upon His throne. And He shall be a Priest upon His throne, and the counsel of peace shall be between the two.

14 L a corona será para Helem, Tobías, Jedaías y Hen, hijo de Sofonías, como recuerdo en el templo del Señor.

And the crown shall be to Helem (Heldai), to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to the kindness and favor of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, and shall be in the temple of the Lord for a reminder and memorial.

15 Y los que están lejos vendrán y reedificarán el templo del Señor. Entonces sabréis que el Señor de los ejércitos me ha enviado a vosotros. Esto sucederá si escucháis obedientes la voz del Señor vuestro Dios.

And those who are far off shall come and help build the temple of the Lord, and you shall know (recognize and understand) that the Lord sent me to you. And shall come to pass if you will diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.
