1 E ntonces el Espíritu me levantó y me llevó a la puerta oriental de la casa del Señor que mira al oriente. Y he aquí, a la entrada de la puerta había veinticinco hombres, y entre ellos vi a Jaazanías, hijo de Azur, y a Pelatías, hijo de Benaía, jefes del pueblo.

Moreover, the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the East Gate of the Lord’s house, which faces east. And behold, at the door of the gateway there were twenty-five men; and I saw in the midst of them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

2 Y El me dijo: Hijo de hombre, estos son los hombres que maquinan iniquidad y dan malos consejos en esta ciudad,

Then said to me, Son of man, these are the men who devise iniquity and give wicked counsel in this city,

3 l os cuales dicen: “¿No está cerca el tiempo de edificar casas? Esta ciudad es la olla y nosotros la carne.”

Who say, is not near to build houses; this city is the boiling pot and we are the flesh.

4 P or tanto, profetiza contra ellos, profetiza, hijo de hombre.

Therefore prophesy against them; prophesy, O son of man!

5 E ntonces el Espíritu del Señor cayó sobre mí, y me dijo: Di: “Así dice el Señor: ‘Así habéis dicho, casa de Israel, yo conozco vuestros pensamientos.

And the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and He said to me, Speak. Say, Thus says the Lord: This is what you thought, O house of Israel, for I know the things that come into your mind.

6 ‘ Habéis multiplicado vuestros muertos en esta ciudad, habéis llenado sus calles de muertos.’

You have multiplied your slain in this city and you have filled its streets with the slain.

7 “ Por tanto, así dice el Señor Dios: ‘Vuestros muertos, los que habéis dejado en medio de la ciudad, son la carne, y ella es la olla; pero yo os sacaré de ella.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Your slain whom you have laid in your midst; they are the flesh and this city is the boiling pot, but you shall be brought forth out of the midst of it.

8 ‘ Habéis temido la espada, y espada traeré sobre vosotros ’ —declara el Señor Dios.

You have feared the sword, and I will bring a sword upon you, says the Lord God.

9 ‘ Y os sacaré de en medio de la ciudad, os entregaré en manos de extraños y traeré juicios contra vosotros.

And I will bring you forth out of the midst of it and deliver you into the hands of foreigners and execute judgments among you.

10 ‘ A espada caeréis; en los confines de Israel os juzgaré; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor.

You shall fall by the sword; I will judge and punish you at the border or outside the land of Israel, and you shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord.

11 ‘ Esta ciudad no será olla para vosotros, ni vosotros seréis carne en medio de ella; hacia los confines de Israel os juzgaré.

This city shall not be your boiling pot, neither shall you be the flesh in the midst of it; I will judge you at the border or outside of Israel;

12 ‘ Y sabréis que yo soy el Señor; porque no habéis andado en mis estatutos ni habéis ejecutado mis ordenanzas, sino que habéis obrado conforme a las costumbres de las naciones que os rodean.’”

And you shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord; for you have not walked in My statutes nor executed My ordinances, but have acted according to the ordinances of the nations around you.

13 Y sucedió que mientras yo profetizaba, Pelatías, hijo de Benaía, murió. Entonces caí sobre mi rostro, y clamé a gran voz y dije: ¡Ah, Señor Dios! ¿Vas a acabar por completo con el remanente de Israel ?

And while I was prophesying, Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then I fell down upon my face and cried with a loud voice, Ah, Lord God! Will You make a complete end of the remnant of Israel?

14 E ntonces vino a mí la palabra del Señor, diciendo:

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

15 H ijo de hombre, tus hermanos, tus parientes, los hombres en el destierro contigo y toda la casa de Israel, todos ellos, son aquellos a quienes los habitantes de Jerusalén han dicho: “Alejaos del Señor; a nosotros se nos ha dado esta tierra en posesión.”

Son of man, your brethren, even your kindred, your fellow exiles, and all the house of Israel, all of them, are they of whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, They have gone far from the Lord; therefore this land is given to us for a possession.

16 P or tanto, di: “Así dice el Señor Dios: ‘Aunque yo los había echado lejos entre las naciones, y aunque yo los había dispersado por las tierras, sin embargo fui para ellos un santuario por poco tiempo en las tierras adonde habían ido.’”

Therefore say, Thus says the Lord God: Whereas I have removed far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, yet I have been to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries to which they have come.

17 P or tanto di: “Así dice el Señor Dios: ‘Yo os recogeré de entre los pueblos y os reuniré de las tierras entre las cuales habéis sido dispersados, y os daré la tierra de Israel.’”

Therefore say, Thus says the Lord God: I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give back to you the land of Israel.

18 C uando lleguen allí, quitarán de ella todas sus cosas detestables y todas sus abominaciones.

And when they return there, they shall take away from it all traces of its detestable things and all its abominations (sex impurities and heathen religious practices).

19 Y o les daré un solo corazón y pondré un espíritu nuevo dentro de ellos. Y quitaré de su carne el corazón de piedra y les daré un corazón de carne,

And I will give them one heart and I will put a new spirit within them; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh,

20 p ara que anden en mis estatutos, guarden mis ordenanzas y los cumplan. Entonces serán mi pueblo y yo seré su Dios.

That they may walk in My statutes and keep My ordinances, and do them. And they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

21 P ero en cuanto a aquellos cuyo corazón va detrás de sus cosas detestables y abominaciones, haré recaer su conducta sobre su cabeza —declara el Señor Dios.

But as for those whose heart yearns for and goes after their detestable things and their loathsome abominations, I will repay their deeds upon their own heads, says the Lord God.

22 E ntonces los querubines alzaron sus alas con las ruedas a su lado, y la gloria del Dios de Israel estaba por encima, sobre ellos.

Then the cherubim lifted up their wings with the wheels which were beside them, and the glory of the God of Israel was over them.

23 L a gloria del Señor se elevó de en medio de la ciudad, y se detuvo sobre el monte que está al oriente de la ciudad.

Then the glory of the Lord rose up from over the midst of the city and stood over the mountain which is on the east side of the city.

24 Y el Espíritu me levantó y me llevó a Caldea, a los desterrados, en visión por el Espíritu de Dios. Y se alejó de mí la visión que había visto.

And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to the exiles. Then the vision that I had seen went up from me.

25 E ntonces hablé a los desterrados de todas las cosas que el Señor me había mostrado.

And I told the exiles everything that the Lord had shown me.
