Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon our beloved and fellow-worker,

2 y a la hermana Apia, y a Arquipo, nuestro compañero de lucha, y a la iglesia que está en tu casa:

and to Apphia our sister, and to Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church in thy house:

3 G racia a ustedes y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo. El Amor y la Fe de Filemón

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

4 D oy gracias a mi Dios siempre, haciendo mención de ti en mis oraciones,

I thank my God always, making mention of thee in my prayers,

5 p orque oigo de tu amor y de la fe que tienes hacia el Señor Jesús y hacia todos los santos.

hearing of thy love, and of the faith which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints;

6 R uego que la comunión (participación) de tu fe llegue a ser eficaz por el conocimiento de todo lo bueno que hay en ustedes mediante Cristo (el Mesías).

that the fellowship of thy faith may become effectual, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in you, unto Christ.

7 P ues he llegado a tener mucho gozo y consuelo en tu amor, porque los corazones de los santos han sido confortados por ti, hermano. Pablo Intercede por Onésimo

For I had much joy and comfort in thy love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through thee, brother.

8 P or lo cual, aunque tengo mucha libertad (confianza) en Cristo para mandarte hacer lo que conviene,

Wherefore, though I have all boldness in Christ to enjoin thee that which is befitting,

9 n o obstante, por causa del amor que te tengo, te hago un ruego, siendo como soy, Pablo, anciano, y ahora también prisionero de Cristo Jesús:

yet for love's sake I rather beseech, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now a prisoner also of Christ Jesus:

10 t e ruego por mi hijo Onésimo, a quien he engendrado en mis prisiones;

I beseech thee for my child, whom I have begotten in my bonds, Onesimus,

11 q uien en otro tiempo te era inútil, pero ahora nos es útil a ti y a mí.

who once was unprofitable to thee, but now is profitable to thee and to me:

12 Y te lo he vuelto a enviar en persona, es decir, como si fuera mi propio corazón.

whom I have sent back to thee in his own person, that is, my very heart:

13 H ubiera querido retenerlo conmigo, para que me sirviera en lugar tuyo en mis prisiones por el evangelio (las buenas nuevas).

whom I would fain have kept with me, that in thy behalf he might minister unto me in the bonds of the gospel:

14 P ero no quise hacer nada sin tu consentimiento, para que tu bondad no fuera como por obligación, sino por tu propia voluntad.

but without thy mind I would do nothing; that thy goodness should not be as of necessity, but of free will.

15 P orque quizá por esto se apartó de ti por algún tiempo, para que lo volvieras a recibir para siempre,

For perhaps he was therefore parted from thee for a season, that thou shouldest have him for ever;

16 y a no como esclavo, sino como más que un esclavo, como un hermano amado, especialmente para mí, pero cuánto más para ti, tanto en la carne como en el Señor.

no longer as a servant, but more than a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much rather to thee, both in the flesh and in the Lord.

17 S i me tienes, pues, por compañero, acéptalo como me aceptarías a mí.

If then thou countest me a partner, receive him as myself.

18 Y si te ha perjudicado en alguna forma, o te debe algo, cárgalo a mi cuenta.

But if he hath wronged the at all, or oweth thee aught, put that to mine account;

19 Y o, Pablo, escribo esto con mi propia mano. Yo lo pagaré (por no decirte que aun tú mismo te me debes a mí ).

I Paul write it with mine own hand, I will repay it: that I say not unto thee that thou owest to me even thine own self besides.

20 S í, hermano, permíteme disfrutar este beneficio de ti en el Señor. Recrea (Conforta) mi corazón en Cristo.

Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my heart in Christ.

21 T e escribo confiado en tu obediencia, sabiendo que harás aún más de lo que digo.

Having confidence in thine obedience I write unto thee, knowing that thou wilt do even beyond what I say.

22 Y al mismo tiempo, prepárame también alojamiento, pues espero que por las oraciones de ustedes les seré concedido. Saludos y Bendición

But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I hope that through your prayers I shall be granted unto you.

23 T e saluda Epafras, mi compañero de prisión en Cristo Jesús;

Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus, saluteth thee;

24 t ambién Marcos, Aristarco, Demas y Lucas, mis colaboradores.

and so do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke, my fellow-workers.

25 L a gracia del Señor Jesucristo sea con el espíritu de ustedes.
