Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

2 q ue El ya había prometido por medio de Sus profetas en las Sagradas Escrituras.

which he promised afore through his prophets in the holy scriptures,

3 E s el mensaje acerca de Su Hijo, que nació de la descendencia de David según la carne,

concerning his Son, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh,

4 y que fue declarado Hijo de Dios con un acto de poder, conforme al Espíritu de santidad, por (como resultado de) la resurrección de entre los muertos: nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead; even Jesus Christ our Lord,

5 E s por medio de El que hemos recibido la gracia y el apostolado para promover la obediencia a la fe entre todos los Gentiles, por amor a Su nombre;

through whom we received grace and apostleship, unto obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name's sake;

6 e ntre los cuales están también ustedes, llamados de Jesucristo.

among whom are ye also called to be Jesus Christ's:

7 A todos los amados de Dios que están en Roma, llamados a ser santos: Gracia y paz a ustedes de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y del Señor Jesucristo. Deseos de Pablo de Visitar a Roma

To all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

8 E n primer lugar, doy gracias a mi Dios por medio de Jesucristo por todos ustedes, porque por todo el mundo (se da a conocer) se habla de su fe.

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world.

9 P ues Dios, a quien sirvo en mi espíritu en la predicación del evangelio de Su Hijo, me es testigo de cómo sin cesar hago mención de ustedes

For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you, always in my prayers

10 s iempre en mis oraciones, implorando que ahora, al fin, por la voluntad de Dios, logre ir a ustedes.

making request, if by any means now at length I may be prospered by the will of God to come unto you.

11 P orque anhelo verlos para impartirles algún don espiritual, a fin de que sean confirmados;

For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

12 e s decir, para que cuando esté entre ustedes nos confortemos mutuamente, cada uno por la fe del otro, tanto la de ustedes como la mía.

that is, that I with you may be comforted in you, each of us by the other's faith, both yours and mine.

13 Y no quiero que ignoren, hermanos, que con frecuencia he hecho planes para ir a visitarlos, pero hasta ahora me he visto impedido, a fin de obtener algún fruto también entre ustedes, así como entre los demás Gentiles.

And I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you (and was hindered hitherto), that I might have some fruit in you also, even as in the rest of the Gentiles.

14 T engo obligación (Soy deudor) tanto para con los Griegos como para con los bárbaros (los que no son Griegos por nacimiento, ni por cultura), para con los sabios como para con los ignorantes.

I am debtor both to Greeks and to Barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish.

15 A sí que, por mi parte, ansioso estoy de anunciar el evangelio (las buenas nuevas) también a ustedes que están en Roma. Una Definición del Evangelio

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you also that are in Rome.

16 P orque no me avergüenzo del evangelio, pues es el poder de Dios para la salvación de todo el que cree, del Judío primeramente y también del Griego.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 P orque en el evangelio la justicia de Dios se revela por fe y para fe, como está escrito: Mas el justo por la fe vivira. El Hombre ha Ignorado a Dios

For therein is revealed a righteousness of God from faith unto faith: as it is written, But the righteous shall live by faith.

18 P orque la ira de Dios se revela desde el cielo contra toda impiedad e injusticia de los hombres, que con injusticia restringen la verdad.

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the truth in unrighteousness;

19 P ero lo que se conoce acerca de Dios es evidente dentro de ellos, pues Dios se lo hizo evidente.

because that which is known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it unto them.

20 P orque desde la creación del mundo, Sus atributos invisibles, Su eterno poder y divinidad, se han visto con toda claridad, siendo entendidos por medio de lo creado, de manera que ellos no tienen excusa.

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:

21 P ues aunque conocían a Dios, no Lo honraron (no Lo glorificaron) como a Dios ni Le dieron gracias, sino que se hicieron vanos en sus razonamientos y su necio corazón fue entenebrecido.

because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened.

22 P rofesando ser sabios, se volvieron necios,

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 y cambiaron la gloria del Dios incorruptible por una imagen en forma de hombre corruptible, de aves, de cuadrúpedos y de reptiles. La Consecuente Corrupción del Hombre

and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.

24 P or lo cual Dios los entregó a la impureza en la lujuria de sus corazones, de modo que deshonraron entre sí sus propios cuerpos.

Wherefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves:

25 P orque ellos cambiaron la verdad de Dios por la mentira, y adoraron y sirvieron a la criatura en lugar del Creador, quien es bendito por los siglos. Amén.

for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 P or esta razón Dios los entregó a pasiones degradantes; porque sus mujeres cambiaron la función natural por la que es contra la naturaleza.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions: for their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 D e la misma manera también los hombres, abandonando el uso natural de la mujer, se encendieron en su lujuria unos con otros, cometiendo hechos vergonzosos hombres con hombres, y recibiendo en sí mismos el castigo correspondiente a su extravío.

and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.

28 Y así como ellos no tuvieron a bien reconocer a Dios, Dios los entregó a una mente depravada, para que hicieran las cosas que no convienen.

And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

29 E stán llenos de toda injusticia, maldad (perversidad), avaricia y malicia, llenos de envidia, homicidios, pleitos, engaños, y malignidad. Son chismosos,

being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 d etractores (calumniadores), aborrecedores (enemigos) de Dios, insolentes, soberbios, jactanciosos (arrogantes), inventores de lo malo, desobedientes (rebeldes) a los padres,

backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 s in entendimiento, indignos de confianza (desleales), sin amor, despiadados.

without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful:

32 E llos, aunque conocen el decreto de Dios que los que practican tales cosas son dignos de muerte, no sólo las hacen, sino que también dan su aprobación a los que las practican.

who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practise them.
