1 E n los días de Joacim subió Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, y Joacim fue su siervo por tres años; después se levantó y se rebeló contra él.

In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.

2 E ntonces el Señor envió contra Joacim bandas de Caldeos, bandas de Arameos, bandas de Moabitas y bandas de Amonitas. Y las envió contra Judá para destruirla, conforme a la palabra que el Señor había hablado por medio de sus siervos los profetas.

And Jehovah sent against him bands of the Chaldeans, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spake by his servants the prophets.

3 C iertamente por mandato del Señor sucedió esto contra Judá para quitarlos de Su presencia, por los pecados de Manasés, por todo lo que había hecho.

Surely at the commandment of Jehovah came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did,

4 T ambién por la sangre inocente que derramó, pues llenó a Jerusalén de sangre inocente, y el Señor no quiso perdonar.

and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood: and Jehovah would not pardon.

5 L os demás hechos de Joacim y todo lo que hizo ¿no están escritos en el Libro de las Crónicas de los reyes de Judá?

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

6 D urmió Joacim con sus padres; y su hijo Joaquín reinó en su lugar.

So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers; and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.

7 E l rey de Egipto no salió más de su tierra, porque el rey de Babilonia había tomado todo lo que pertenecía al rey de Egipto desde el torrente de Egipto hasta el Río Eufrates.

And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land; for the king of Babylon had taken, from the brook of Egypt unto the river Euphrates, all that pertained to the king of Egypt.

8 J oaquín tenía dieciocho años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó tres meses en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre era Nehusta, hija de Elnatán, de Jerusalén.

Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign; and he reigned in Jerusalem three months: and his mother's name was Nehushta the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.

9 H izo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor, conforme a todo lo que había hecho su padre. Primera Deportación

And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that his father had done.

10 E n aquel tiempo los siervos de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, subieron a Jerusalén, y la ciudad fue sitiada.

At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up to Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.

11 N abucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, llegó a la ciudad mientras sus siervos la tenían sitiada.

And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came unto the city, while his servants were besieging it;

12 J oaquín, rey de Judá, se rindió al rey de Babilonia, él y su madre, sus siervos, sus jefes y sus oficiales. El rey de Babilonia lo apresó en el año octavo de su reinado.

and Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.

13 N abucodonosor sacó de allí todos los tesoros de la casa del Señor, los tesoros de la casa del rey, y destrozó todos los utensilios de oro que Salomón, rey de Israel, había hecho en el templo del Señor, tal como el Señor había dicho.

And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold, which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of Jehovah, as Jehovah had said.

14 Y se llevó en cautiverio a todo Jerusalén: a todos los jefes, a todos los hombres valientes, 10, 000 cautivos, y a todos los artesanos y herreros. Nadie quedó, excepto la gente más pobre del país.

And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valor, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and the smiths; none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.

15 T ambién se llevó a Joaquín en cautiverio a Babilonia. Asimismo se llevo en cautiverio de Jerusalén a Babilonia a la madre del rey y a las mujeres del rey, a sus oficiales y a los poderosos del país.

And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon; and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the chief men of the land, carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.

16 T odos los hombres valientes, 7, 000 y los artesanos y herreros, 1, 000 todos fuertes y aptos para la guerra, también a éstos el rey de Babilonia llevó en cautiverio a Babilonia.

And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and the craftsmen and the smiths a thousand, all of them strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

17 E ntonces el rey de Babilonia puso por rey en lugar de Joaquín, a su tío Matanías y cambió su nombre por el de Sedequías.

And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah, Jehoiachin's father's brother, king is his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.

18 S edequías tenía veintiún años cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó once años en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre era Hamutal, hija de Jeremías, de Libna.

Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

19 H izo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor, conforme a todo lo que había hecho Joacim.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

20 P or causa de la ira del Señor sucedió esto en Jerusalén y en Judea, hasta que los echó de Su presencia. Y Sedequías se rebeló contra el rey de Babilonia.

For through the anger of Jehovah did it come to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence. And Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
