1 P rotégeme, oh Dios, pues en Ti me refugio.

Preserve me, O God; for in thee do I take refuge.

2 Y o dije al Señor: “Tú eres mi Señor; Ningún bien tengo fuera de Ti.”

O my soul, thou hast said unto Jehovah, Thou art my Lord: I have no good beyond thee.

3 E n cuanto a los santos que están en la tierra, Ellos son los nobles en quienes está toda mi delicia.

As for the saints that are in the earth, They are the excellent in whom is all my delight.

4 S e multiplicarán las aflicciones de aquéllos que han corrido tras otro dios; No derramaré yo sus libaciones de sangre, Ni sus nombres pronunciarán mis labios.

Their sorrows shall be multiplied that give gifts for another god: Their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, Nor take their names upon my lips.

5 E l Señor es la porción de mi herencia y de mi copa; Tú sustentas mi suerte.

Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: Thou maintainest my lot.

6 L as cuerdas me cayeron en lugares agradables; En verdad es hermosa la herencia que me ha tocado.

The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; Yea, I have a goodly heritage.

7 B endeciré al Señor que me aconseja; En verdad, en las noches mi corazón me instruye.

I will bless Jehovah, who hath given me counsel; Yea, my heart instructeth me in the night seasons.

8 A l Señor he puesto continuamente delante de mí; Porque está a mi diestra, permaneceré firme.

I have set Jehovah always before me: Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

9 P or tanto, mi corazón se alegra y mi alma se regocija; También mi carne morará segura,

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth; My flesh also shall dwell in safety.

10 P orque Tú no abandonarás mi alma en el Seol, Ni permitirás que Tu Santo sufra corrupción.

For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.

11 M e darás a conocer la senda de la vida; En Tu presencia hay plenitud de gozo; En Tu diestra hay deleites para siempre.

Thou wilt show me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; In thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
