1 E stas fueron las clases de los descendientes de Aarón. Los hijos de Aarón fueron Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.

And the courses of the sons of Aaron were these. The sons of Aaron: Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

2 P ero Nadab y Abiú murieron antes que su padre y no tuvieron hijos. De modo que Eleazar e Itamar sirvieron como sacerdotes.

But Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children: therefore Eleazar and Ithamar executed the priest's office.

3 Y David, con Sadoc de los hijos de Eleazar y Ahimelec de los hijos de Itamar, los dividió según sus oficios para su ministerio.

And David with Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, divided them according to their ordering in their service.

4 P uesto que se encontraron más hombres principales entre los descendientes de Eleazar que entre los descendientes de Itamar, los dividieron así: de los descendientes de Eleazar, dieciséis jefes de casas paternas, y ocho de los descendientes de Itamar según sus casas paternas.

And there were more chief men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar; and thus were they divided: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen, heads of fathers' houses; and of the sons of Ithamar, according to their fathers' houses, eight.

5 A sí fueron divididos por suerte los unos y los otros; porque eran funcionarios del santuario y funcionarios de la casa de Dios, tanto los descendientes de Eleazar como los descendientes de Itamar.

Thus were they divided by lot, one sort with another; for there were princes of the sanctuary, and princes of God, both of the sons of Eleazar, and of the sons of Ithamar.

6 Y Semaías, hijo del escriba Natanael, de los Levitas, los inscribió en la presencia del rey, de los príncipes, del sacerdote Sadoc, de Ahimelec, hijo de Abiatar, y de los jefes de las casas paternas de los sacerdotes y de los Levitas; una casa paterna designada para Eleazar y otra designada para Itamar.

And Shemaiah the son of Nethanel the scribe, who was of the Levites, wrote them in the presence of the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the heads of the fathers' houses of the priests and of the Levites; one fathers' house being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar.

Now the first lot came forth to Jehoiarib, the second to Jedaiah,

8 l a tercera a Harim, la cuarta a Seorim,

the third to Harim, the fourth to Seorim,

9 l a quinta a Malquías, la sexta a Mijamín,

the fifth to Malchijah, the sixth to Mijamin,

10 l a séptima a Cos, la octava a Abías,

the seventh to Hakkoz, the eighth to Abijah,

11 l a novena a Jesúa, la décima a Secanías,

the ninth to Jeshua, the tenth to Shecaniah,

12 l a undécima a Eliasib, la duodécima a Jaquim,

the eleventh to Eliashib, the twelfth to Jakim,

13 l a decimotercera a Hupa, la decimocuarta a Jesebeab,

the thirteenth to Huppah, the fourteenth to Jeshebeab,

14 l a decimoquinta a Bilga, la decimosexta a Imer,

the fifteenth to Bilgah, the sixteenth to Immer,

15 l a decimoséptima a Hezir, la decimoctava a Afisés,

the seventeenth to Hezir, the eighteenth to Happizzez,

16 l a decimonovena a Petaías, la vigésima a Hezequiel,

the nineteenth to Pethahiah, the twentieth to Jehezkel,

17 l a vigesimoprimera a Jaquín, la vigesimosegunda a Gamul,

the one and twentieth to Jachin, the two and twentieth to Gamul,

18 l a vigesimotercera a Delaía, la vigesimocuarta a Maazías.

the three and twentieth to Delaiah, the four and twentieth to Maaziah.

19 E stos fueron sus deberes para su ministerio cuando entraron en la casa del Señor según la ordenanza que les fue dada por medio de su padre Aarón, tal como el Señor, Dios de Israel, le había mandado.

This was the ordering of them in their service, to come into the house of Jehovah according to the ordinance given unto them by Aaron their father, as Jehovah, the God of Israel, had commanded him.

20 Y para el resto de los hijos de Leví: de los hijos de Amram, Subael; de los hijos de Subael, Jehedías.

And of the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

21 D e Rehabías: de los hijos de Rehabías, Isías el primero.

Of Rehabiah: of the sons of Rehabiah, Isshiah the chief.

22 D e los Izharitas, Selomot; de los hijos de Selomot, Jahat.

Of the Izharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.

23 Y de los hijos de Hebrón: Jerías el primero, Amarías el segundo, Jahaziel el tercero, Jecamán el cuarto.

And the sons of Hebron: Jeriah the chief, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.

24 D e los hijos de Uziel, Micaía; de los hijos de Micaía, Samir.

The sons of Uzziel, Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir.

25 E l hermano de Micaía, Isías; de los hijos de Isías, Zacarías.

The brother of Micah, Isshiah; of the sons of Isshiah, Zechariah.

26 L os hijos de Merari: Mahli y Musi; de los hijos de Jaazías, Beno.

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; the sons of Jaaziah: Beno.

27 L os hijos de Merari por Jaazías: Beno, Soham, Zacur e Ibri.

The sons of Merari: of Jaaziah, Beno, and Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.

28 P or Mahli: Eleazar, que no tuvo hijos.

Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.

29 P or Cis: de los hijos de Cis, Jerameel.

Of Kish; the sons of Kish: Jerahmeel.

30 Y los hijos de Musi: Mahli, Edar y Jerimot. Estos fueron los hijos de los Levitas conforme a sus casas paternas.

And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites after their fathers' houses.

31 E stos también echaron suertes como sus parientes, los hijos de Aarón, en la presencia del rey David, de Sadoc, de Ahimelec y de los jefes de las casas paternas de los sacerdotes y de los Levitas. El principal de las casas paternas fue tratado igual que el menor de sus hermanos.

These likewise cast lots even as their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the heads of the fathers' houses of the priests and of the Levites; the fathers' houses of the chief even as those of his younger brother.
