1 “ En aquel tiempo el Señor me dijo: ‘Lábrate dos tablas de piedra como las anteriores, y sube a Mí al monte, y hazte un arca de madera.

At that time Jehovah said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.

2 Y o escribiré sobre esas tablas las palabras que estaban sobre las primeras tablas que quebraste, y las pondrás en el arca.’

And I will write on the tables the words that were on the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.

3 H ice, pues, un arca de madera de acacia y labré dos tablas de piedra como las anteriores, y subí al monte con las dos tablas en mi mano.

So I made an ark of acacia wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in my hand.

4 Y El escribió sobre las tablas, conforme a la escritura anterior, los Diez Mandamientos que el Señor les había hablado a ustedes en el monte de en medio del fuego el día de la asamblea; y el Señor me las dio.

And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which Jehovah spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and Jehovah gave them unto me.

5 E ntonces me volví y descendí del monte, y puse las tablas en el arca que yo había hecho; y allí están tal como el Señor me ordenó.

And I turned and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are as Jehovah commanded me.

6 ( Después los Israelitas salieron de Beerot Bene Jaacán hacia Mosera. Allí murió Aarón y allí fue sepultado, y su hijo Eleazar ministró como sacerdote en su lugar.

(And the children of Israel journeyed from Beeroth Bene-jaakan to Moserah. There Aaron died, and there he was buried; and Eleazar his son ministered in the priest's office in his stead.

7 D e allí salieron hacia Gudgoda; y de Gudgoda hacia Jotbata, una tierra de corrientes de aguas.

From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbathah, a land of brooks of water.

8 E n aquel tiempo el Señor apartó la tribu de Leví para que llevara el arca del pacto del Señor, y para que estuviera delante del Señor, sirviéndole y bendiciendo en Su nombre hasta el día de hoy.

At that time Jehovah set apart the tribe of Levi, to bear the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, to stand before Jehovah to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.

9 P or tanto, Leví no tiene porción o herencia con sus hermanos; el Señor es su herencia, así como el Señor tu Dios le habló.)

Wherefore Levi hath no portion nor inheritance with his brethren; Jehovah is his inheritance, according as Jehovah thy God spake unto him.)

10 “ Me quedé en el monte cuarenta días y cuarenta noches como la primera vez, y el Señor me escuchó también esta vez; y el Señor no quiso destruirte.

And I stayed in the mount, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights: and Jehovah hearkened unto me that time also; Jehovah would not destroy thee.

11 E ntonces me dijo el Señor: ‘Levántate, continúa tu marcha al frente del pueblo, para que entren y tomen posesión de la tierra que Yo juré a sus padres que les daría.’ Lo que Dios Requiere

And Jehovah said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people; and they shall go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.

12 “ Y ahora, Israel, ¿qué requiere de ti el Señor tu Dios, sino que temas (reverencies) al Señor tu Dios, que andes en todos Sus caminos, que Lo ames y que sirvas al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón y con toda tu alma,

And now, Israel, what doth Jehovah thy God require of thee, but to fear Jehovah thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve Jehovah thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

13 y que guardes los mandamientos del Señor y Sus estatutos que yo te ordeno hoy para tu bien?

to keep the commandments of Jehovah, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?

14 A l Señor tu Dios pertenecen los cielos y los cielos de los cielos, la tierra y todo lo que en ella hay.

Behold, unto Jehovah thy God belongeth heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is therein.

15 S in embargo, el Señor se agradó de tus padres, los amó, y escogió a su descendencia después de ellos, es decir, a ustedes, de entre todos los pueblos, como se ve hoy.

Only Jehovah had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all peoples, as at this day.

16 C ircunciden, pues, su corazón, y no sean más tercos.

Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

17 P orque el Señor su Dios es Dios de dioses y Señor de señores, Dios grande, poderoso y temible que no hace acepción de personas ni acepta soborno.

For Jehovah your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the terrible, who regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward.

18 E l hace justicia al huérfano y a la viuda, y muestra Su amor al extranjero dándole pan y vestido.

He doth execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loveth the sojourner, in giving him food and raiment.

19 M uestren, pues, amor al extranjero, porque ustedes fueron extranjeros en la tierra de Egipto.

Love ye therefore the sojourner; for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

20 T emerás (Reverenciarás) al Señor tu Dios; Le servirás, te allegarás a El y sólo en Su nombre jurarás.

Thou shalt fear Jehovah thy God; him shalt thou serve; and to him shalt thou cleave, and by his name shalt thou swear.

21 E l es el objeto de tu alabanza y El es tu Dios, que ha hecho por ti estas cosas grandes y portentosas que tus ojos han visto.

He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.

22 C uando tus padres descendieron a Egipto eran setenta personas, y ahora el Señor tu Dios te ha hecho tan numeroso como las estrellas del cielo.

Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now Jehovah thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.
