1 A sí que, hermanos míos, amados y deseados, gozo y corona mía, ¡manténganse firmes en el Señor, amados!

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

2 R uego a Evodia y a Síntique, que se pongan de acuerdo en el Señor.

I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

3 T ambién a ti, mi compañero fiel, te ruego que ayudes a éstas que lucharon conmigo en el evangelio, junto con Clemente y mis otros colaboradores, cuyos nombres están en el libro de la vida.

And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

4 R egocíjense en el Señor siempre. Y otra vez les digo, ¡regocíjense!

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.

5 Q ue la gentileza de ustedes sea conocida de todos los hombres. El Señor está cerca.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 N o se preocupen por nada. Que sus peticiones sean conocidas delante de Dios en toda oración y ruego, con acción de gracias,

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 Y que la paz de Dios, que sobrepasa todo entendimiento, guarde sus corazones y sus pensamientos en Cristo Jesús. Piensen en todo esto

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 P or lo demás, hermanos, piensen en todo lo que es verdadero, en todo lo honesto, en todo lo justo, en todo lo puro, en todo lo amable, en todo lo que es digno de alabanza; si hay en ello alguna virtud, si hay algo que admirar, piensen en ello.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9 L o que ustedes aprendieron y recibieron de mí; lo que de mí vieron y oyeron, pónganlo por obra, y el Dios de paz estará con ustedes. Dádivas de los filipenses

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

10 G rande ha sido mi gozo en el Señor de que al fin han reanudado ustedes su cuidado por mí. Claro, la disposición la tenían, pero les faltaba la oportunidad.

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

11 N o lo digo porque tenga escasez, pues he aprendido a estar contento en cualquier situación.

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

12 S é vivir con limitaciones, y también sé tener abundancia; en todo y por todo estoy enseñado, tanto para estar satisfecho como para tener hambre, lo mismo para tener abundancia que para sufrir necesidad;

I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 ¡ todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece!

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

14 S in embargo, hicieron bien en participar conmigo en mi tribulación.

Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

15 Y bien saben ustedes, hermanos filipenses, que al principio de la predicación del evangelio, cuando partí de Macedonia, ninguna iglesia participó conmigo en cuestiones de dar y recibir, sino sólo ustedes.

Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

16 I ncluso a Tesalónica una y otra vez ustedes me enviaron para cubrir mis necesidades.

For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

17 N o es que yo busque dádivas. Lo que busco es que abunde fruto en la cuenta de ustedes.

Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

18 P ero todo lo he recibido, y tengo abundancia. Estoy lleno, y he recibido de Epafrodito lo que ustedes me enviaron: sacrificio aceptable, de olor fragante y agradable a Dios.

But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

19 A sí que mi Dios suplirá todo lo que les falte, conforme a sus riquezas en gloria en Cristo Jesús.

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

20 A nuestro Dios y Padre sea la gloria, por los siglos de los siglos. Amén. Salutaciones finales

Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

21 S aluden a todos los santos en Cristo Jesús. Los hermanos que están conmigo les mandan saludos.

Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.

22 T odos los santos los saludan, y especialmente los de la casa de César.

All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.

23 L a gracia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo sea con todos ustedes. Amén.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
