1 Р адостно пойте Богу, нашей твердыне, восклицайте Богу Иакова.

Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

2 П усть грянет музыка! Ударьте в бубны и троньте струны сладкозвучной арфы и лиры.

Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.

3 Т рубите в рог в праздник Новолуния, и в полнолуние, в день нашего праздника,

Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

4 т ак как это закон для Израиля, установление от Бога Иакова.

For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.

5 О н установил это в свидетельство для Иосифа, когда тот вышел из земли египетской. Я услышал голос, которого не знал:

This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.

6 О н говорит: «Я снял тяжелую ношу с его плеч, и руки его освободились от корзин.

I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.

7 В бедствии ты призвал Меня, и Я спас тебя; из тучи грозовой Я ответил тебе при водах Меривы испытал тебя. Пауза

Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

8 С лушай, Мой народ, и Я буду свидетельствовать тебе. О Израиль, если бы ты послушал Меня!

Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;

9 Д а не будет у тебя иного бога, и не поклоняйся богу чужеземному.

there shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.

10 Я – Господь, твой Бог, Тот, Кто вывел тебя из земли египетской. Открой свои уста, и Я наполню их.

I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

11 Н о народ Мой не слушал Моего голоса, Израиль не покорялся Мне.

But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.

12 П отому Я и оставил их во власти их упрямых сердец и позволил им ходить своими путями.

So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

13 О , если бы народ Мой слушал Меня и Израиль ходил Моими путями!

Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

14 Я вскоре бы смирил их врагов и обратил бы Свою руку против их неприятелей.

I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.

15 Н енавидящие Господа раболепствовали бы перед Ним, и их наказание продолжалось бы вечно.

The haters of the Lord should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.

16 Я питал бы Израиля лучшей пшеницей и насыщал бы тебя медом из скалы».

He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
