1 A conteció después de la mortandad, que Jehová habló a Moisés y a Eleazar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón, y le dijo:

And it came to pass after the plague, that Jehovah spake unto Moses and unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,

2 « Haced el censo de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, de veinte años para arriba, por las casas de sus padres, de todos los que pueden salir a la guerra en Israel.»

Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by their fathers' houses, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel.

3 M oisés y el sacerdote Eleazar hablaron con ellos en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó, y les dijeron:

And Moses and Eleazar the priest spake with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

4 « Registraréis a la gente de veinte años para arriba, como mandó Jehová a Moisés.» Los hijos de Israel que salieron de tierra de Egipto fueron:

Take the sum of the people, from twenty years old and upward; as Jehovah commanded Moses and the children of Israel, that came forth out of the land of Egypt.

Reuben, the first-born of Israel; the sons of Reuben: of Hanoch, the family of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;

of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.

7 É stas son las familias de los rubenitas; y fueron registrados de ellas 43. 730.

These are the families of the Reubenites; and they that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.

8 L os hijos de Falú: Eliab.

And the sons of Pallu: Eliab.

9 Y los hijos de Eliab: Nemuel, Datán y Abiram. Estos Datán y Abiram fueron los del consejo de la congregación que se rebelaron contra Moisés y Aarón con el grupo de Coré, cuando éste se rebeló contra Jehová.

And the sons of Eliab: Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. These are that Dathan and Abiram, who were called of the congregation, who strove against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korah, when they strove against Jehovah,

10 L a tierra abrió su boca y se los tragó junto con Coré; así murió aquel grupo, cuando el fuego consumió a doscientos cincuenta hombres, para que sirvieran de escarmiento.

and the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died; what time the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men, and they became a sign.

11 P ero los hijos de Coré no murieron.

Notwithstanding, the sons of Korah died not.

The sons of Simeon after their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites;

of Zerah, the family of the Zerahites; of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.

21 L os hijos de Fares fueron: de Hezrón, la familia de los hezronitas; de Hamul, la familia de los hamulitas.

And the sons of Perez were: of Hezron, the family of the Hezronites; of Hamul, the family of the Hamulites.

22 É stas son las familias de Judá; y fueron registrados de ellas 76. 500.

These are the families of Judah according to those that were numbered of them, threescore and sixteen thousand and five hundred.

The sons of Issachar after their families: of Tola, the family of the Tolaites; of Puvah, the family of the Punites;

The sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Seredites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Jahleel, the family of the Jahleelites.

These are the families of the Zebulunites according to those that were numbered of them, threescore thousand and five hundred.

The sons of Joseph after their families: Manasseh and Ephraim.

29 L os hijos de Manasés: de Maquir, la familia de los maquiritas; y Maquir engendró a Galaad; de Galaad, la familia de los galaaditas.

The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir begat Gilead; of Gilead, the family of the Gileadites.

These are the sons of Gilead: of Iezer, the family of the Iezerites; of Helek, the family of the Helekites;

33 Z elofehad hijo de Hefer no tuvo hijos sino hijas. Los nombres de las hijas de Zelofehad fueron Maala, Noa, Hogla, Milca y Tirsa.

And Zelophehad the son of Hepher had no sons, but daughters: and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Mahlah, and Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.

34 É stas son las familias de Manasés; y fueron registrados de ellas 52. 700.

These are the families of Manasseh; and they that were numbered of them were fifty and two thousand and seven hundred.

35 É stos son los hijos de Efraín, por familias: de Sutela, la familia de los sutelaítas; de Bequer, la familia de los bequeritas; de Tahán, la familia de los tahanitas.

These are the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelah, the family of the Shuthelahites; of Becher, the family of the Becherites; of Tahan, the family of the Tahanites.

The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela, the family of the Belaites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Ahiram, the family of the Ahiramites;

And the sons of Bela were Ard and Naaman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites; of Naaman, the family of the Naamites.

The sons of Asher after their families: of Imnah, the family of the Imnites; of Ishvi, the family of the Ishvites; of Beriah, the family of the Berites.

Of the sons of Beriah: of Heber, the family of the Heberites; of Malchiel, the family of the Malchielites.

These are they that were numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand and a thousand seven hundred and thirty.

52 H abló Jehová a Moisés y le dijo:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

53 « Entre estos se repartirá la tierra como heredad, conforme al número de los registrados.

Unto these the land shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names.

54 A los más numerosos darás mayor heredad; a los menos numerosos, menor heredad. A cada uno se le dará su heredad según el número de los registrados.

To the more thou shalt give the more inheritance, and to the fewer thou shalt give the less inheritance: to every one according to those that were numbered of him shall his inheritance be given.

55 P ero la tierra será repartida por suertes; heredarán según el número de los registrados por cada tribu paterna.

Notwithstanding, the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.

56 C onforme a la suerte será repartida su heredad entre el grande y el pequeño.» Censo de la tribu de Leví

According to the lot shall their inheritance be divided between the more and the fewer.

57 L os registrados de los levitas, por familias, son estos: de Gersón, la familia de los gersonitas; de Coat, la familia de los coatitas; de Merari, la familia de los meraritas.

And these are they that were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the family of the Kohathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.

58 É stas son las familias de los levitas: la familia de los libnitas, la familia de los hebronitas, la familia de los mahlitas, la familia de los musitas, la familia de los coreítas. Coat engendró a Amram.

These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Hebronites, the family of the Mahlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korahites. And Kohath begat Amram.

59 L a mujer de Amram se llamó Jocabed, hija de Leví, que le nació a Leví en Egipto. Ella le dio de Amram estos hijos: Aarón, Moisés y María, su hermana.

And the name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt: and she bare unto Amram Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.

60 A Aarón le nacieron Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.

And unto Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

61 P ero Nadab y Abiú murieron cuando ofrecieron fuego extraño delante de Jehová.

And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered strange fire before Jehovah.

62 D e los levitas fueron registrados 23. 000, todos hombres de un mes para arriba; porque no fueron registrados entre los hijos de Israel, pues no se les había de dar heredad entre los hijos de Israel. Caleb y Josué, los sobrevivientes del éxodo

And they that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, every male from a month old and upward: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.

63 É stos son los censados por Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar, los cuales hicieron el censo de los hijos de Israel en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó.

These are they that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

64 E ntre estos no había ninguno de los registrados por Moisés y el sacerdote Aarón, quienes hicieron el censo de los hijos de Israel en el desierto de Sinaí.

But among these there was not a man of them that were numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.

65 P orque Jehová había dicho de ellos: «Morirán en el desierto», y no quedó ninguno de ellos, excepto Caleb hijo de Jefone y Josué hijo de Nun.

For Jehovah had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
