1 H abló Jehová a Moisés y le dijo:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

2 « Habla a Aarón y dile: Cuando enciendas las lámparas, las siete lámparas del candelabro alumbrarán hacia adelante.»

Speak unto Aaron, and say unto him, When thou lightest the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the candlestick.

3 A arón lo hizo así: colocó las lámparas en la parte anterior del candelabro, tal como Jehová lo mandó a Moisés.

And Aaron did so; he lighted the lamps thereof so as to give light in front of the candlestick, as Jehovah commanded Moses.

4 E l candelabro estaba hecho de oro labrado a martillo; desde el pie hasta las flores era labrado a martillo. Conforme al modelo que Jehová le mostró a Moisés, así hizo el candelabro. Consagración de los levitas

And this was the work of the candlestick, beaten work of gold; unto the base thereof, and unto the flowers thereof, it was beaten work: according unto the pattern which Jehovah had showed Moses, so he made the candlestick.

5 J ehová habló a Moisés y le dijo:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

6 « Aparta a los levitas de entre los demás hijos de Israel, y haz expiación por ellos.

Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and cleanse them.

7 A sí harás para purificarlos: Rocía sobre ellos el agua de la expiación y haz pasar la navaja por todo su cuerpo; ellos lavarán sus vestidos y así quedarán purificados.

And thus shalt thou do unto them, to cleanse them: sprinkle the water of expiation upon them, and let them cause a razor to pass over all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and cleanse themselves.

8 L uego tomarán un novillo, con su ofrenda de flor de harina amasada con aceite, y tú tomarás otro novillo para la expiación.

Then let them take a young bullock, and its meal-offering, fine flour mingled with oil; and another young bullock shalt thou take for a sin-offering.

9 H arás que los levitas se acerquen al Tabernáculo de reunión, y reunirás a toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel.

And thou shalt present the Levites before the tent of meeting: and thou shalt assemble the whole congregation of the children of Israel:

10 C uando hayas acercado a los levitas a la presencia de Jehová, pondrán los hijos de Israel sus manos sobre los levitas.

and thou shalt present the Levites before Jehovah. And the children of Israel shall lay their hands upon the Levites:

11 E ntonces presentará Aarón a los levitas delante de Jehová como ofrenda de los hijos de Israel, y servirán en el ministerio de Jehová.

and Aaron shall offer the Levites before Jehovah for a wave-offering, on the behalf of the children of Israel, that it may be theirs to do the service of Jehovah.

12 D espués los levitas pondrán sus manos sobre las cabezas de los novillos: uno lo ofrecerás como expiación y el otro como holocausto a Jehová, para hacer expiación por los levitas.

And the Levites shall lay their hands upon the heads of the bullocks: and offer thou the one for a sin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, unto Jehovah, to make atonement for the Levites.

13 C olocarás luego a los levitas delante de Aarón y de sus hijos, y los presentarás como ofrenda a Jehová.

And thou shalt set the Levites before Aaron, and before his sons, and offer them for a wave-offering unto Jehovah.

14 A sí apartarás a los levitas de entre los hijos de Israel, y serán míos los levitas.

Thus shalt thou separate the Levites from among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine.

15 D espués de eso vendrán los levitas a ministrar en el Tabernáculo de reunión. Serán purificados y los presentarás como una ofrenda.

And after that shall the Levites go in to do the service of the tent of meeting: and thou shalt cleanse them, and offer them for a wave-offering.

16 P orque enteramente me son dedicados a mí los levitas de entre los hijos de Israel, en lugar de todo primer nacido; los he tomado para mí en lugar de los primogénitos de todos los hijos de Israel.

For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of all that openeth the womb, even the first-born of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.

17 P orque mío es todo primogénito de entre los hijos de Israel, así de hombres como de animales; desde el día en que yo herí a todo primogénito en la tierra de Egipto, los santifiqué para mí.

For all the first-born among the children of Israel are mine, both man and beast: on the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt I sanctified them for myself.

18 Y he tomado a los levitas en lugar de todos los primogénitos de los hijos de Israel.

And I have taken the Levites instead of all the first-born among the children of Israel.

19 Y o he dado los levitas, como un don, a Aarón y a sus hijos, de entre los hijos de Israel, para que ejerzan el ministerio de los hijos de Israel en el Tabernáculo de reunión, y reconcilien a los hijos de Israel, y no haya plaga entre los hijos de Israel cuando se acerquen al santuario.»

And I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel; that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.

20 M oisés, Aarón y toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel hicieron con los levitas conforme a todas las cosas que mandó Jehová a Moisés acerca de los levitas; así hicieron con ellos los hijos de Israel.

Thus did Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the Levites: according unto all that Jehovah commanded Moses touching the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.

21 L os levitas se purificaron y lavaron sus vestidos. Luego Aarón los presentó como ofrenda delante de Jehová, e hizo expiación por ellos para purificarlos.

And the Levites purified themselves from sin, and they washed their clothes: and Aaron offered them for a wave-offering before Jehovah; and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.

22 D espués de esto, los levitas fueron para ejercer su ministerio en el Tabernáculo de reunión delante de Aarón y delante de sus hijos. De la manera que mandó Jehová a Moisés acerca de los levitas, así hicieron con ellos.

And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tent of meeting before Aaron, and before his sons: as Jehovah had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.

23 L uego habló Jehová a Moisés diciendo:

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,

24 « Los levitas de veinticinco años para arriba entrarán a ejercer su ministerio en el servicio del Tabernáculo de reunión.

This is that which belongeth unto the Levites: from twenty and five years old and upward they shall go in to wait upon the service in the work of the tent of meeting:

25 P ero desde los cincuenta años dejarán de ejercer su ministerio, y nunca más lo ejercerán.

and from the age of fifty years they shall cease waiting upon the work, and shall serve no more,

26 S ervirán con sus hermanos en el Tabernáculo de reunión, para hacer la guardia, pero no servirán en el ministerio. Así harás con los levitas en cuanto a su ministerio.»

but shall minister with their brethren in the tent of meeting, to keep the charge, and shall do no service. Thus shalt thou do unto the Levites touching their charges.
