1 V ino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

2 « Tú, hijo de hombre, anuncia que así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor, a la tierra de Israel: »“El fin, el fin viene sobre los cuatro extremos de la tierra.

And thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah unto the land of Israel, An end: the end is come upon the four corners of the land.

3 A hora será el fin sobre ti, pues enviaré sobre ti mi furor y te juzgaré según tus caminos, y pondré sobre ti todas tus abominaciones.

Now is the end upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways; and I will bring upon thee all thine abominations.

4 M i ojo no te perdonará ni tendré misericordia, antes pondré sobre ti tus caminos y en medio de ti estarán tus abominaciones; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.”

And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity; but I will bring thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

5 » Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: »¡Un mal, he aquí que viene un mal!

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: An evil, an only evil; behold, it cometh.

6 ¡ Viene el fin, el fin viene; se ha despertado contra ti; ciertamente que viene!

An end is come, the end is come; it awaketh against thee; behold, it cometh.

7 ¡ La mañana viene para ti, morador de la tierra; el tiempo viene, cercano está el día: día de tumulto y no de alegría sobre los montes!

Thy doom is come unto thee, O inhabitant of the land: the time is come, the day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting, upon the mountains.

8 A hora pronto derramaré mi ira sobre ti y consumaré en ti mi furor; te juzgaré según tus caminos y pondré sobre ti tus abominaciones.

Now will I shortly pour out my wrath upon thee, and accomplish mine anger against thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways; and I will bring upon thee all thine abominations.

9 M i ojo no perdonará ni tendré misericordia. Según tus caminos pondré sobre ti, y en medio de ti estarán tus abominaciones; y sabréis que yo, Jehová, soy el que castiga.

And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will bring upon thee according to thy ways; and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I, Jehovah, do smite.

10 » ¡Ya viene el día, ciertamente viene! Ha llegado el momento; ha florecido la vara, ha reverdecido la soberbia.

Behold, the day, behold, it cometh: thy doom is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.

11 L a violencia se ha levantado como vara de maldad; no quedará ninguno de ellos ni de su multitud, ni uno de los suyos, ni habrá entre ellos quien se lamente.

Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness; none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of their wealth: neither shall there be eminency among them.

12 E l tiempo ha venido, se acercó el día. ¡No se alegre el que compra ni llore el que vende!, porque la ira está sobre toda la multitud;

The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn; for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

13 p orque el que vende no volverá a lo vendido, aunque queden vivos; porque la visión sobre toda la multitud no se revocará, y a causa de su iniquidad ninguno podrá conservar la vida.

For the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they be yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, none shall return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

14 » Tocarán trompeta y prepararán todas las cosas; pero no habrá quien vaya a la batalla, porque mi ira está sobre toda la multitud.

They have blown the trumpet, and have made all ready; but none goeth to the battle; for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

15 F uera, la espada; y dentro, la peste y el hambre. El que esté en el campo morirá a espada, y al que esté en la ciudad lo consumirá el hambre y la peste.

The sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword: and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

16 L os que sobrevivan huirán y estarán sobre los montes como palomas de los valles, todos gimiendo, cada uno por su iniquidad.

But those of them that escape shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them moaning, every one in his iniquity.

17 T oda mano se debilitará, y como el agua se debilitará toda rodilla.

All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.

18 S e ceñirán también de ropa áspera y los cubrirá el terror; en todo rostro habrá vergüenza y todas sus cabezas estarán rapadas.

They shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

19 A rrojarán su plata a las calles y su oro será desechado; ni su plata ni su oro podrán librarlos en el día del furor de Jehová; no saciarán su alma ni llenarán sus entrañas, porque ha sido tropiezo para su maldad.

They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be as an unclean thing; their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of Jehovah: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels; because it hath been the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

20 P or cuanto convirtieron la gloria de su ornamento en soberbia e hicieron con ello las imágenes de sus abominables ídolos, por eso se lo convertí en algo repugnante.

As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty; but they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things therein: therefore have I made it unto them as an unclean thing.

21 E n manos de extraños la entregué para ser saqueada: será presa de los impíos de la tierra, y la profanarán.

And I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane it.

22 A partaré de ellos mi rostro y será violado mi lugar secreto, pues entrarán en él invasores y lo profanarán.

My face will I turn also from them, and they shall profane my secret place; and robbers shall enter into it, and profane it.

23 » Haz una cadena, porque el país está lleno de delitos de sangre y la ciudad está llena de violencia.

Make the chain; for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.

24 T raeré, por tanto, a los más perversos de las naciones, los cuales poseerán las casas de ellos. Así haré cesar la soberbia de los poderosos, y sus santuarios serán profanados.

Wherefore I will bring the worst of the nations, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pride of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be profaned.

25 ¡ La destrucción llega! Buscarán la paz, pero no habrá paz.

Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.

26 V endrá quebranto sobre quebranto, y habrá rumor sobre rumor. Buscarán respuesta del profeta, mas la Ley se alejará del sacerdote, y de los ancianos el consejo.

Mischief shall come upon mischief, and rumor shall be upon rumor; and they shall seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.

27 E l rey se enlutará, el gobernante se vestirá de tristeza y las manos del pueblo de la tierra temblarán. Según su camino haré con ellos, y con los juicios de ellos los juzgaré. Y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.»

The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.
