1 R espondió Bildad, el suhita, y dijo:

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

2 « El señorío y el temor están con él, que hace la paz en las alturas.

Dominion and fear are with him; He maketh peace in his high places.

3 ¿ No son incontables sus ejércitos? ¿Sobre quién no está su luz?

Is there any number of his armies? And upon whom doth not his light arise?

4 ¿ Cómo, pues, se justificará el hombre delante de Dios? ¿Cómo será puro el que nace de mujer?

How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

5 S i ni aun la misma luna es resplandeciente ni las estrellas son puras delante de sus ojos,

Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, And the stars are not pure in his sight:

6 ¿ cuánto menos el hombre, ese gusano, ese gusano que es el hijo de hombre?»

How much less man, that is a worm! And the son of man, that is a worm!
