Why boastest thou thyself in evil, thou mighty man? The loving-kindness of God continually.

2 S ua língua trama destruição; é como navalha afiada, cheia de engano.

Thy tongue deviseth mischievous things, like a sharp razor, practising deceit.

3 V ocê prefere o mal ao bem, a falsidade, em lugar da verdade. Pausa

Thou hast loved evil rather than good, lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah.

4 V ocê ama toda palavra maldosa, ó língua mentirosa!

Thou hast loved all devouring words, O deceitful tongue!

5 S aiba que Deus o arruinará para sempre: ele o agarrará e o arrancará da sua tenda; ele o desarraigará da terra dos vivos. Pausa

God shall likewise destroy thee for ever; he shall take thee away, and pluck thee out of tent, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah.

6 O s justos verão isso e temerão; rirão dele, dizendo:

The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him,

7 “ Veja só o homem que rejeitou a Deus como refúgio; confiou em sua grande riqueza e buscou refúgio em sua maldade!”

Behold the man that made not God his strength, but put confidence in the abundance of his riches, strengthened himself in his avarice.

8 M as eu sou como uma oliveira que floresce na casa de Deus; confio no amor de Deus para todo o sempre.

But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God: I will confide in the loving-kindness of God for ever and ever.

9 P ara sempre te louvarei pelo que fizeste; na presença dos teus fiéis proclamarei o teu nome, porque tu és bom.

I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done; and I will wait on thy name, before thy godly ones, for it is good.
