1 S alva-me, ó Deus, pelo teu nome; defende-me pelo teu poder.

O God, by thy name save me, and by thy strength do me justice.

2 O uve a minha oração, ó Deus; escuta as minhas palavras.

O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth.

3 E strangeiros me atacam; homens cruéis querem matar-me, homens que não se importam com Deus. Pausa

For strangers are risen up against me, and the violent seek after my life: they have not set God before them. Selah.

4 C ertamente Deus é o meu auxílio; é o Senhor que me sustém.

Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is among them that uphold my soul.

5 R ecaia o mal sobre os meus inimigos! Extermina-os por tua fidelidade!

He will requite evil to mine enemies: in thy truth cut them off.

6 E u te oferecerei um sacrifício voluntário; louvarei o teu nome, ó Senhor, porque tu és bom.

I will freely sacrifice unto thee; I will praise thy name, O Jehovah, because it is good.

7 P ois ele me livrou de todas as minhas angústias, e os meus olhos contemplaram a derrota dos meus inimigos.

For he hath delivered me out of all trouble; and mine eye hath seen upon mine enemies.
