1 A nd Josiah held a passover to Jehovah in Jerusalem; and they slaughtered the passover on the fourteenth of the first month.

И совершил Иосия в Иерусалиме пасху Господу, и закололи пасхального агнца в четырнадцатый первого месяца.

2 A nd he set the priests in their charges, and encouraged them to the service of the house of Jehovah.

И поставил он священников на местах их, и ободрял их на служение в доме Господнем,

3 A nd he said to the Levites, that taught all Israel, who were holy to Jehovah, Put the holy ark in the house that Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, built; ye have not to carry it upon your shoulders. Serve now Jehovah your God, and his people Israel;

и сказал левитам, наставникам всех Израильтян, посвященным Господу: поставьте ковчег святый в храме, который построил Соломон, сын Давидов, царь Израилев; нет вам нужды носить на раменах; служите теперь Господу Богу нашему и народу Его Израилю;

4 a nd prepare yourselves by your fathers' houses, in your divisions, according to the writing of David king of Israel, and according to the writing of Solomon his son;

станьте по поколениям вашим, по чередам вашим, как предписано Давидом, царем Израилевым, и как предписано Соломоном, сыном его,

5 a nd stand in the sanctuary for the classes of the fathers' houses, for your brethren, the children of the people, and to the divisions of the fathers' houses of the Levites;

и стойте во святилище, по распределениям поколений у братьев ваших, сынов народа, и по разделению поколений у левитов,

6 a nd slaughter the passover, and hallow yourselves, and prepare it for your brethren, that they may do according to the word of Jehovah through Moses.

и заколите пасхального агнца, и освятитесь, и приготовьте его для братьев ваших, поступая согласно со словом Господним чрез Моисея.

7 A nd Josiah gave for the children of the people a heave-offering of the flocks, lambs and goats, all for the passover-offerings, for all that were present—to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand bullocks: these were of the king's substance.

И дал Иосия в дар сынам народа, всем, находившимся там, из мелкого скота агнцев и козлов молодых, все для жертвы пасхальной, числом тридцать тысяч и три тысячи волов. Это из имущества царя.

8 A nd his princes gave a voluntary heave-offering for the people, for the priests, and for the Levites: Hilkijah and Zechariah and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave to the priests for the passover-offerings two thousand six hundred and three hundred oxen;

И князья его по усердию давали в дар народу, священникам и левитам: Хелкия и Захария и Иехиил, начальствующие в доме Божием, дали священникам для жертвы пасхальной две тысячи шестьсот и триста волов;

9 a nd Conaniah, and Shemaiah and Nethaneel, his brethren, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave as heave-offering to the Levites for the passover-offerings five thousand and five hundred oxen.

и Хонания, и Шемаия, и Нафанаил, братья его, и Хашавия, и Иеиел, и Иозавад, начальники левитов, подарили левитам для жертвы пасхальной пять тысяч и пятьсот волов.

10 A nd the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their place, and the Levites in their divisions, according to the king's commandment.

Так устроено было служение. И стали священники на место свое и левиты по чередам своим, по повелению царскому;

11 A nd they slaughtered the passover, and the priests sprinkled from their hand, and the Levites flayed them.

и закололи пасхального агнца. И кропили священники, принимая ее из рук левитов, а левиты снимали кожу;

12 A nd they set apart the burnt-offerings to give them to the classes of the fathers' houses of the children of the people, to present them to Jehovah, as it is written in the book of Moses. And so with the oxen.

и распределили для всесожжения, чтобы раздать то по отделениям поколений у сынов народа, для принесения Господу, как написано в книге Моисеевой. То же и с волами.

13 A nd they roasted the passover with fire according to the ordinance; and the consecrated things they boiled in pots and in cauldrons and in pans, and divided them speedily among all the children of the people.

И испекли пасхального агнца на огне, по уставу; и священные жертвы сварили в котлах, горшках и кастрюлях, и поспешно роздали всему народу,

14 A nd afterwards they made ready for themselves and for the priests; because the priests, the sons of Aaron, in offering up the burnt-offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves, and for the priests, the sons of Aaron.

а после приготовили для себя и для священников, ибо священники, сыны Аароновы, приношением всесожжения и туков до ночи; потому-то и готовили левиты для себя и для священников, сынов Аароновых.

15 A nd the singers, the sons of Asaph, were in their place, according to the commandment of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun the king's seer; and the doorkeepers were at every gate; they had not to depart from their service, for their brethren the Levites prepared for them.

И певцы, сыновья Асафовы, на местах своих, по установлению Давида и Асафа, и Емана и Идифуна, прозорливца царского, и привратники у каждых ворот: не для чего им отходить от служения своего, так как братья их левиты готовили для них.

16 A nd all the service of Jehovah was prepared the same day, to hold the passover, and to offer burnt-offerings on the altar of Jehovah according to the commandment of king Josiah.

Так устроено было все служение Господу в тот день, чтобы совершить пасху и принести всесожжения на жертвеннике Господнем, по повелению царя Иосии.

17 A nd the children of Israel that were present held the passover at that time, and the feast of unleavened bread seven days.

И совершали сыны Израилевы, находившиеся, пасху в то время и праздник опресноков в течение семи дней.

18 A nd there was no passover like to that holden in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet; neither did all the kings of Israel hold such a passover as Josiah held, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel that were present, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

И не была совершаема такая пасха у Израиля от дней Самуила пророка; и из всех царей Израилевых ни один не совершал такой пасхи, какую совершил Иосия, и священники, и левиты, и все Иудеи, и Израильтяне, находившиеся, и жители Иерусалима.

19 I n the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah was this passover holden.

В восемнадцатый год царствования Иосии совершена сия пасха.

20 A fter all this, when Josiah had arranged the house, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Karkemish at the Euphrates; and Josiah went out against him.

После всего того, что сделал Иосия в доме, пошел Нехао, царь Египетский, на войну к Кархемису на Евфрате; и Иосия вышел навстречу ему.

21 A nd he sent messengers to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house with which I have war; and God has told me to make haste: keep aloof from God who is with me, that he destroy thee not.

И послал к нему послов сказать: что мне и тебе, царь Иудейский? Не против тебя теперь но туда, где у меня война. И Бог повелел мне поспешать; не противься Богу, Который со мною, чтоб Он не погубил тебя.

22 B ut Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight against him; and he hearkened not to the words of Necho from the mouth of God; and he came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

Но Иосия не отстранился от него, а приготовился, чтобы сразиться с ним, и не послушал слов Нехао от лица Божия и выступил на сражение на равнину Мегиддо.

23 A nd the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away, for I am sore wounded.

И выстрелили стрельцы в царя Иосию, и сказал царь слугам своим: уведите меня, потому что я тяжело ранен.

24 A nd his servants took him out from the chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had, and brought him to Jerusalem. And he died, and was buried in the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah.

И свели его слуги его с колесницы, и посадили его в другую повозку, которая у него, и отвезли его в Иерусалим. И умер он, и похоронен в гробницах отцов своих. И вся Иудея и Иерусалим оплакали Иосию.

25 A nd Jeremiah lamented for Josiah; and all the singing men and singing women spoke of Josiah in their lamentations to this day; and they made them an ordinance for Israel. And behold, they are written in the lamentations.

Оплакал Иосию и Иеремия в песне плачевной; и говорили все певцы и певицы об Иосии в плачевных песнях своих, до сего дня, и передали их в употребление у Израиля; и вот они вписаны в плачевных песней.

26 A nd the rest of the acts of Josiah, and his good deeds, according to that which is written in the law of Jehovah,

Прочие деяния Иосии и добродетели его, согласные с предписанным в законе Господнем,

27 a nd his acts, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.

и деяния его, первые и последние, описаны в книге царей Израильских и Иудейских.
