1 P or tanto, hermanos santos, participantes del llamamiento celestial, consideren a Jesús, el Apóstol y Sumo Sacerdote de nuestra fe.

Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession;

2 E l cual fue fiel al que Lo designó (constituyó), como también lo fue Moisés en toda la casa de Dios.

He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house.

3 P orque Jesús ha sido considerado digno de más gloria que Moisés, así como el constructor de la casa tiene más honra que la casa.

For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house.

4 P orque toda casa es hecha por alguno, pero el que hace todas las cosas es Dios.

For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.

5 M oisés fue fiel en toda la casa de Dios como siervo, para testimonio de lo que se iba a decir más tarde.

Now Moses was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken later;

6 P ero Cristo (el Mesías) fue fiel como Hijo sobre la casa de Dios, cuya casa somos nosotros, si retenemos firme hasta el fin nuestra confianza y la gloria de nuestra esperanza.

but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house— whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.

7 P or lo cual, como dice el Espíritu Santo: “ Si ustedes oyen hoy Su voz,

Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, “ Today if you hear His voice,

8 n o endurezcan sus corazones, como en la provocacion, como en el dia de la prueba en el desierto,

Do not harden your hearts as when they provoked Me, As in the day of trial in the wilderness,

9 d onde sus padres Me tentaron y Me pusieron a prueba, y vieron Mis obras por cuarenta años.

Where your fathers tried Me by testing Me, And saw My works for forty years.

10 P or lo cual Yo me disguste con aquella generacion, y dije: ‘siempre se desvian en su corazon, y no han conocido Mis caminos;’

“ Therefore I was angry with this generation, And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, And they did not know My ways ’;

11 c omo jure en Mi ira: ‘ No entraran en Mi reposo.’”

As I swore in My wrath, ‘ They shall not enter My rest.’” The Peril of Unbelief

12 T engan cuidado, hermanos, no sea que en alguno de ustedes haya un corazón malo de incredulidad, para apartarse del Dios vivo.

Take care, brethren, that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God.

13 A ntes, exhórtense los unos a los otros cada día, mientras todavía se dice: “Hoy;” no sea que alguno de ustedes sea endurecido por el engaño del pecado.

But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

14 P orque somos hechos partícipes de Cristo, si es que retenemos firme hasta el fin el principio de nuestra seguridad.

For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end,

15 P or lo cual se dice: “ Si ustedes oyen hoy Su voz, no endurezcan sus corazones, como en la provocacion.”

while it is said, “ Today if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts, as when they provoked Me.”

16 P orque ¿quiénes, habiendo oído, Lo provocaron ? ¿Acaso no fueron todos los que salieron de Egipto guiados por Moisés?

For who provoked Him when they had heard? Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?

17 ¿ Con quiénes se disgustó por cuarenta años? ¿No fue con aquéllos que pecaron, cuyos cuerpos cayeron en el desierto ?

And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

18 ¿ Y a quiénes juró que no entrarían en Su reposo, sino a los que fueron desobedientes ?

And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient?

19 V emos, pues, que no pudieron entrar a causa de su incredulidad.

So we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.
