1 E stas son las jornadas de los hijos de Israel, que salieron de la tierra de Egipto por sus ejércitos, bajo la dirección de Moisés y Aarón.

These are the travels of the people of Israel, when Moses and Aaron led them out from the land of Egypt by their armies.

2 Y Moisés anotó los puntos de partida según sus jornadas, por el mandamiento del Señor, y estas son sus jornadas, conforme a sus puntos de partida.

Moses wrote down the starting places of their travels, as the Lord told him. These are their travels by their starting places.

3 E l mes primero partieron de Ramsés el día quince del mes primero; el día después de la Pascua, los hijos de Israel marcharon con mano poderosa a la vista de todos los egipcios,

They traveled from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month. On the day after the Passover the people of Israel started out strong in heart in front of all the Egyptians.

4 m ientras los egipcios sepultaban a todos sus primogénitos, a quienes el Señor había herido entre ellos. El Señor también había ejecutado juicios contra sus dioses.

The Egyptians were burying all their first-born whom the Lord had killed among them. The Lord had punished their gods also.

5 E ntonces los hijos de Israel partieron de Ramsés y acamparon en Sucot.

Then the people of Israel traveled from Rameses and stayed in Succoth.

6 P artieron de Sucot y acamparon en Etam, que está en el extremo del desierto.

They traveled from Succoth and stayed in Etham, beside the desert.

7 P artieron de Etam, se volvieron a Pi-hahirot, frente a Baal-zefón, y acamparon delante de Migdol.

They went from Etham and turned back to Pi-hahiroth, east of Baal-zephon, and stayed at Migdol.

8 P artieron de delante de Hahirot y pasaron por en medio del mar al desierto; y anduvieron tres días en el desierto de Etam y acamparon en Mara.

Then they traveled from Hahiroth and passed through the sea into the desert. They traveled for three days in the desert of Etham, and stayed at Marah.

9 P artieron de Mara y llegaron a Elim; y en Elim había doce fuentes de agua y setenta palmeras; y acamparon allí.

They left Marah and came to Elim. There were twelve wells of water and seventy palm trees in Elim, and they stayed there.

10 P artieron de Elim y acamparon junto al mar Rojo.

Then they traveled from Elim and stayed by the Red Sea.

11 P artieron del mar Rojo y acamparon en el desierto de Sin.

They left the Red Sea and stayed in the Desert of Sin.

12 P artieron del desierto de Sin y acamparon en Dofca.

They traveled from the Desert of Sin, and stayed at Dophkah.

13 P artieron de Dofca y acamparon en Alús.

Then they left Dophkah and stayed at Alush.

14 P artieron de Alús y acamparon en Refidim; allí fue donde el pueblo no tuvo agua para beber.

They traveled from Alush and stayed at Rephidim. It was there that the people had no water to drink.

15 P artieron de Refidim y acamparon en el desierto de Sinaí.

They went from Rephidim and stayed in the Desert of Sinai.

16 P artieron del desierto de Sinaí y acamparon en Kibrot-hataava.

They traveled from the Desert of Sinai, and stayed at Kibroth-hattaavah.

17 P artieron de Kibrot-hataava y acamparon en Hazerot.

They went from Kibroth-hattaavah and stayed at Hazeroth.

They left Hazeroth and stayed at Rithmah.

Then they went from Rithmah and stayed at Rimmon-perez.

They traveled from Rimmon-perez, and stayed at Libnah.

They left Libnah, and stayed at Rissah.

Then they went from Rissah and stayed at Kehelathah.

23 P artieron de Ceelata y acamparon en el monte Sefer.

They went from Kehelathah and stayed at Mount Shepher.

They traveled from Mount Shepher and stayed at Haradah.

They left Haradah and stayed at Makheloth.

26 P artieron de Macelot y acamparon en Tahat.

Then they traveled from Makheloth, and stayed at Tahath.

27 P artieron de Tahat y acamparon en Tara.

They traveled from Tahath, and stayed at Terah.

They went from Terah and stayed at Mithkah.

29 P artieron de Mitca y acamparon en Hasmona.

They left Mithkah and stayed at Hashmonah.

30 P artieron de Hasmona y acamparon en Moserot.

Then they left Hashmonah and stayed at Moseroth.

31 P artieron de Moserot y acamparon en Bene-jaacán.

They went from Moseroth and stayed at Benejaakan.

32 P artieron de Bene-jaacán y acamparon en Hor-haggidgad.

They traveled from Benejaakan, and stayed at Hor-haggidgad.

33 P artieron de Hor-haggidgad y acamparon en Jotbata.

They went from Hor-haggidgad and stayed at Jotbathah.

34 P artieron de Jotbata y acamparon en Abrona.

Then they left Jotbathah and stayed at Abronah.

35 P artieron de Abrona y acamparon en Ezión-geber.

They went from Abronah and stayed at Ezion-geber.

36 P artieron de Ezión-geber y acamparon en el desierto de Zin, esto es, Cades.

They went from Ezion-geber and stayed in the Desert of Zin, that is, Kadesh.

37 P artieron de Cades y acamparon en el monte Hor, al extremo de la tierra de Edom.

And they traveled from Kadesh, and stayed at Mount Hor, beside the land of Edom.

38 E ntonces el sacerdote Aarón subió al monte Hor por mandato del Señor, y allí murió, el año cuarenta después que los hijos de Israel habían salido de la tierra de Egipto, el primer día del mes quinto.

Then Aaron the religious leader went up to Mount Hor, as the Lord told him. He died there, in the fortieth year after the people of Israel had left the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month.

39 A arón tenía ciento veintitrés años de edad cuando murió en el monte Hor.

Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.

40 Y el cananeo, el rey de Arad que habitaba en el Neguev, en la tierra de Canaán, oyó de la llegada de los hijos de Israel.

The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the people of Israel.

41 E ntonces partieron del monte Hor y acamparon en Zalmona.

Then the people traveled from Mount Hor, and stayed at Zalmonah.

42 P artieron de Zalmona y acamparon en Punón.

They left Zalmonah, and stayed at Punon.

43 P artieron de Punón y acamparon en Obot.

They went from Punon and stayed at Oboth.

44 P artieron de Obot y acamparon en Ije-abarim, en la frontera con Moab.

Then they left Oboth and stayed at Iye-abarim, beside Moab.

45 P artieron de Ije-abarim y acamparon en Dibón-gad.

They traveled from Iyim, and stayed at Dibon-gad.

46 P artieron de Dibón-gad y acamparon en Almón-diblataim.

They went from Dibon-gad and stayed at Almon-diblathaim.

47 P artieron de Almón-diblataim y acamparon en los montes de Abarim, frente a Nebo.

They left Almon-diblathaim and stayed in the mountains of Abarim, near Nebo.

48 P artieron de los montes de Abarim y acamparon en las llanuras de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó.

They traveled from the mountains of Abarim, and stayed in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho.

49 Y acamparon junto al Jordán, desde Bet-jesimot hasta Abel-sitim, en las llanuras de Moab.

And they stayed by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abelshittim in the plains of Moab.

50 E ntonces habló el Señor a Moisés en las llanuras de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó, diciendo:

Then the Lord said to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho,

51 H abla a los hijos de Israel, y diles: “Cuando crucéis el Jordán a la tierra de Canaán,

“Say to the people of Israel, ‘You will cross over the Jordan into the land of Canaan.

52 e xpulsaréis a todos los habitantes de la tierra delante de vosotros, y destruiréis todas sus piedras grabadas, y destruiréis todas sus imágenes fundidas, y demoleréis todos sus lugares altos;

Then drive out all the people living in the land in front of you. Destroy all their cut stones, and all their man-made gods, and all their high places.

53 y tomaréis posesión de la tierra y habitaréis en ella, porque os he dado la tierra para que la poseáis.

Take the land for your own and live in it. For I have given the land to you.

54 “ Y heredaréis la tierra por sorteo, por vuestras familias; a las más grandes daréis más heredad, y a las más pequeñas daréis menos heredad. Donde la suerte caiga a cada uno, eso será suyo. Heredaréis conforme a las tribus de vuestros padres.

Your families will receive land by drawing names. The larger families should be given more land. The smaller families should be given less land. When a man’s name is drawn, that land will be his. You will receive land by the family groups of your fathers.

55 “ Pero si no expulsáis de delante de vosotros a los habitantes de la tierra, entonces sucederá que los que de ellos dejéis serán como aguijones en vuestros ojos y como espinas en vuestros costados, y os hostigarán en la tierra en que habitéis.

Drive out the people who live in the land in front of you. If you do not, then those who are allowed to stay will be like sharp pieces in your eyes and like thorns in your sides. They will trouble you in the land where you live.

56 “ Y sucederá que como pienso hacerles a ellos, os haré a vosotros.”

And I will do to you as I thought to do to them.’”
