1 B ut Job answered and said,

Entonces respondió Job, y dijo:

2 H ow hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?

¡Qué ayuda eres para el débil! ¡Cómo has salvado al brazo sin fuerza!

3 H ow hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?

¡Qué consejos has dado al que no tiene sabiduría, y qué útil conocimiento has dado en abundancia!

4 T o whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?

¿A quién has proferido palabras, y de quién es el espíritu que habló en ti?

5 D ead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.

Las sombras tiemblan bajo las aguas y sus habitantes.

6 H ell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.

Desnudo está el Seol ante El, y el Abadón no tiene cobertura.

7 H e stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

El extiende el norte sobre el vacío, y cuelga la tierra sobre la nada.

8 H e bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

Envuelve las aguas en sus nubes, y la nube no se rompe bajo ellas.

9 H e holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.

Oscurece la faz de la luna llena, y extiende sobre ella su nube.

10 H e hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

Ha trazado un círculo sobre la superficie de las aguas, en el límite de la luz y las tinieblas.

11 T he pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

Las columnas del cielo tiemblan, y se espantan ante su reprensión.

12 H e divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.

Al mar agitó con su poder, y a Rahab quebrantó con su entendimiento.

13 B y his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

Con su soplo se limpian los cielos; su mano ha traspasado la serpiente huidiza.

14 L o, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

He aquí, estos son los bordes de sus caminos; ¡y cuán leve es la palabra que de El oímos! Pero su potente trueno, ¿quién lo puede comprender ?
