1 A fterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.

Después me hizo volver a la entrada del templo; y he aquí, brotaban aguas de debajo del umbral del templo hacia el oriente, porque la fachada del templo daba hacia el oriente. Y las aguas descendían de debajo, del lado derecho del templo, al sur del altar.

2 T hen brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

Me sacó por la puerta del norte y me hizo dar la vuelta por fuera hasta la puerta exterior, por la puerta que da al oriente. Y he aquí, las aguas fluían del lado sur.

3 A nd when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.

Cuando el hombre salió hacia el oriente con un cordel en la mano, midió mil codos, y me hizo pasar por las aguas, con el agua hasta los tobillos.

4 A gain he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.

Midió otros mil, y me hizo pasar por las aguas, con el agua hasta las rodillas. De nuevo midió otros mil y me hizo pasar por las aguas, con el agua hasta la cintura.

5 A fterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

Y midió otros mil; y ya era un río que yo no pude vadear, porque las aguas habían crecido, aguas que tenían que pasarse a nado, un río que no se podía vadear.

6 A nd he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.

Entonces me dijo: ¿Has visto, hijo de hombre ? Me llevó y me hizo volver a la orilla del río.

7 N ow when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.

Y cuando volví, he aquí, en la orilla del río había muchísimos árboles a uno y otro lado.

8 T hen said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

Y me dijo: Estas aguas salen hacia la región oriental y descienden al Arabá; luego siguen hacia el mar y desembocan en el mar; entonces las aguas del mar quedan purificadas.

9 A nd it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

Y sucederá que dondequiera que pase el río, todo ser viviente que en él se mueve, vivirá. Y habrá muchísimos peces, porque estas aguas van allá, y las otras son purificadas; así vivirá todo por donde pase el río.

10 A nd it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

Y junto a él se pararán los pescadores, y desde En-gadi hasta En-eglaim habrá un lugar para tender las redes. Sus peces serán según sus especies, como los peces del mar Grande, numerosísimos.

11 B ut the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.

Pero sus pantanos y marismas no serán purificados; serán dejados para salinas.

12 A nd by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

Junto al río, en su orilla, a uno y otro lado, crecerán toda clase de árboles que den fruto para comer. Sus hojas no se marchitarán, ni faltará su fruto. Cada mes darán fruto porque sus aguas fluyen del santuario; su fruto será para comer y sus hojas para sanar. Límites y división de la tierra

13 T hus saith the Lord God; This shall be the border, whereby ye shall inherit the land according to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

Así dice el Señor Dios: Estos serán los límites según los cuales repartiréis la tierra por heredad entre las doce tribus de Israel; José tendrá dos partes.

14 A nd ye shall inherit it, one as well as another: concerning the which I lifted up mine hand to give it unto your fathers: and this land shall fall unto you for inheritance.

La repartiréis por heredad a cada uno en igual proporción que a su hermano; porque juré darla a vuestros padres, esta tierra os tocará en heredad.

15 A nd this shall be the border of the land toward the north side, from the great sea, the way of Hethlon, as men go to Zedad;

Y estos serán los límites de la tierra: Por el lado norte, desde el mar Grande, camino de Hetlón, hasta la entrada de Zedad;

16 H amath, Berothah, Sibraim, which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath; Hazarhatticon, which is by the coast of Hauran.

Hamat, Berota, Sibraim, que está entre el límite de Damasco y el límite de Hamat; Hazar-haticón, que está en el límite de Haurán.

17 A nd the border from the sea shall be Hazarenan, the border of Damascus, and the north northward, and the border of Hamath. And this is the north side.

Y el límite se extenderá desde el mar hasta Hazar-enán en el límite de Damasco, y en el norte, hacia el norte, al límite de Hamat; este es el lado norte.

18 A nd the east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel by Jordan, from the border unto the east sea. And this is the east side.

Y por el lado oriental, entre Haurán, Damasco, Galaad y la tierra de Israel, al Jordán; mediréis desde el límite norte hasta el mar oriental; este es el lado oriental.

19 A nd the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of strife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.

Y el lado sur, hacia el sur, se extenderá desde Tamar hasta las aguas de Meriba de Cades, hacia el torrente de Egipto, hasta el mar Grande; este es el lado sur, hacia el sur.

20 T he west side also shall be the great sea from the border, till a man come over against Hamath. This is the west side.

Y el lado occidental será el mar Grande, desde el límite sur hasta enfrente de Lebo-hamat; este es el lado occidental.

21 S o shall ye divide this land unto you according to the tribes of Israel.

Repartiréis, pues, esta tierra entre vosotros según las tribus de Israel.

22 A nd it shall come to pass, that ye shall divide it by lot for an inheritance unto you, and to the strangers that sojourn among you, which shall beget children among you: and they shall be unto you as born in the country among the children of Israel; they shall have inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel.

La sortearéis como heredad entre vosotros y entre los forasteros que residen en medio de vosotros y que hayan engendrado hijos entre vosotros. Y serán para vosotros como nativos entre los hijos de Israel; se les sorteará herencia con vosotros entre las tribus de Israel.

23 A nd it shall come to pass, that in what tribe the stranger sojourneth, there shall ye give him his inheritance, saith the Lord God.

En la tribu en la cual el forastero resida, allí le daréis su herencia —declara el Señor Dios.
