1 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

Oh Dios, tú eres mi Dios; te buscaré con afán. Mi alma tiene sed de ti, mi carne te anhela cual tierra seca y árida donde no hay agua.

2 T o see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

Así te contemplaba en el santuario, para ver tu poder y tu gloria.

3 B ecause thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Porque tu misericordia es mejor que la vida, mis labios te alabarán.

4 T hus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

Así te bendeciré mientras viva, en tu nombre alzaré mis manos.

5 M y soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

Como con médula y grosura está saciada mi alma; y con labios jubilosos te alaba mi boca.

6 W hen I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

Cuando en mi lecho me acuerdo de ti, en ti medito durante las vigilias de la noche.

7 B ecause thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

Porque tú has sido mi socorro, y a la sombra de tus alas canto gozoso.

8 M y soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

A ti se aferra mi alma; tu diestra me sostiene.

9 B ut those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

Pero los que buscan mi vida para destruirla, caerán a las profundidades de la tierra.

10 T hey shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

Serán entregados al poder de la espada; presa serán de las zorras.

11 B ut the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

Mas el rey se regocijará en Dios; y todo el que por El jura se gloriará, porque la boca de los que dicen mentiras será cerrada.
