2 A braham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob, and Jacob begat Juda and his brethren;

Abraham engendró á Isaac: é Isaac engendró á Jacob: y Jacob engendró á Judas y á sus hermanos:

3 a nd Juda begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom, and Esrom begat Aram,

Y Judas engendró de Thamar á Phares y á Zara: y Phares engendró á Esrom: y Esrom engendró á Aram:

4 a nd Aram begat Aminadab, and Aminadab begat Naasson, and Naasson begat Salmon,

Y Aram engendró á Aminadab: y Aminadab engendró á Naassón: y Naassón engendró á Salmón:

5 a nd Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse,

Y Salmón engendró de Rachâb á Booz, y Booz engendró de Ruth á Obed y Obed engendró á Jessé:

6 a nd Jesse begat David the king. And David begat Solomon, of her of Urias;

7 a nd Solomon begat Roboam, and Roboam begat Abia, and Abia begat Asa,

8 a nd Asa begat Josaphat, and Josaphat begat Joram, and Joram begat Ozias,

Y Asa engendró á Josaphat: y Josaphat engendró á Joram: y Joram engendró á Ozías:

9 a nd Ozias begat Joatham, and Joatham begat Achaz, and Achaz begat Ezekias,

Y Ozías engendró á Joatam: y Joatam engendró á Achâz: y Achâz engendró á Ezechîas:

10 a nd Ezekias begat Manasses, and Manasses begat Amon, and Amon begat Josias,

Y Ezechîas engendró á Manasés: y Manasés engendró á Amón: y Amón engendró á Josías:

11 a nd Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, at the time of the carrying away of Babylon.

Y Josías engendró á Jechônías y á sus hermanos, en la transmigración de Babilonia.

12 A nd after the carrying away of Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel, and Salathiel begat Zorobabel,

Y después de la transmigración de Babilonia, Jechônías engendró á Salathiel: y Salathiel engendró á Zorobabel:

13 a nd Zorobabel begat Abiud, and Abiud begat Eliakim, and Eliakim begat Azor,

Y Zorobabel engendró á Abiud: y Abiud engendró á Eliachîm: y Eliachîm engendró á Azor:

14 a nd Azor begat Sadoc, and Sadoc begat Achim, and Achim begat Eliud,

Y Azor engendró á Sadoc: y Sadoc engendró á Achîm: y Achîm engendró á Eliud:

15 a nd Eliud begat Eliazar, and Eliazar begat Matthan, and Matthan begat Jacob,

Y Eliud engendró á Eleazar: y Eleazar engendró á Mathán: y Mathán engendró á Jacob:

16 a nd Jacob begat Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

Y Jacob engendró á José, marido de María, de la cual nació Jesús, el cual es llamado el Cristo.

17 A ll the generations, therefore, from Abraham to David fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away of Babylon, fourteen generations; and from the carrying away of Babylon unto the Christ, fourteen generations.

De manera que todas las generaciones desde Abraham hasta David son catorce generaciones: y desde David hasta la transmigración de Babilonia, catorce generaciones: y desde la transmigración de Babilonia hasta Cristo, catorce generaciones.

18 N ow the birth of Jesus Christ was thus: His mother, Mary, that is, having been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found to be with child of Holy Spirit.

Y el nacimiento de Jesucristo fué así: Que siendo María su madre desposada con José, antes que se juntasen, se halló haber concebido del Espíritu Santo.

19 B ut Joseph, her husband, being righteous, and unwilling to expose her publicly, purposed to have put her away secretly;

Y José su marido, como era justo, y no quisiese infamarla, quiso dejarla secretamente.

20 b ut while he pondered on these things, behold, an angel of Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, son of David, fear not to take to Mary, thy wife, for that which is begotten in her is of Holy Spirit.

Y pensando él en esto, he aquí el ángel del Señor le aparece en sueños, diciendo: José, hijo de David, no temas de recibir á María tu mujer, porque lo que en ella es engendrado, del Espíritu Santo es.

21 A nd she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.

Y parirá un hijo, y llamarás su nombre JESUS, porque él salvará á su pueblo de sus pecados.

22 N ow all this came to pass that that might be fulfilled which was spoken by Lord, through the prophet, saying,

Todo esto aconteció para que se cumpliese lo que fué dicho por el Señor, por el profeta que dijo:

23 B ehold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is, being interpreted, 'God with us.'

He aquí la virgen concebirá y parirá un hijo, Y llamarás su nombre Emmanuel, que declarado, es: Con nosotros Dios.

24 B ut Joseph, having awoke up from his sleep, did as the angel of Lord had enjoined him, and took to his wife,

Y despertando José del sueño, hizo como el ángel del Señor le había mandado, y recibió á su mujer.

25 a nd knew her not until she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.

Y no la conoció hasta que parió á su hijo primogénito: y llamó su nombre JESUS.
