1 W ould that ye would bear with me a little folly; but indeed bear with me.

2 F or I am jealous as to you with a jealousy of God; for I have espoused you unto one man, to present a chaste virgin to Christ.

Pues que os celo con celo de Dios; porque os he desposado á un marido, para presentaros como una virgen pura á Cristo.

3 B ut I fear lest by any means, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craft, your thoughts should be corrupted from simplicity as to the Christ.

Mas temo que como la serpiente engaño á Eva con su astucia, sean corrompidos así vuestros sentidos en alguna manera, de la simplicidad que es en Cristo.

4 F or if indeed he that comes preaches another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or ye get a different Spirit, which ye have not got, or a different glad tidings, which ye have not received, ye might well bear with.

Porque si el que viene, predicare otro Jesús que el que hemos predicado, ó recibiereis otro espíritu del que habéis recibido, ú otro evangelio del que habéis aceptado, lo sufrierais bien.

5 F or I reckon that in nothing I am behind those who are in surpassing degree apostles.

Cierto pienso que en nada he sido inferior á aquellos grandes apóstoles.

6 B ut if a simple person in speech, yet not in knowledge, but in everything making manifest in all things to you.

Porque aunque soy basto en la palabra, empero no en la ciencia: mas en todo somos ya del todo manifiestos á vosotros.

7 H ave I committed sin, abasing myself in order that ye might be exalted, because I gratuitously announced to you the glad tidings of God?

¿Pequé yo humillándome á mí mismo, para que vosotros fueseis ensalzados, porque os he predicado el evangelio de Dios de balde?

8 I spoiled other assemblies, receiving hire for ministry towards you.

He despojado las otras iglesias, recibiendo salario para ministraros á vosotros.

9 A nd being present with you and lacking, I did not lazily burden any one, (for the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied what I lacked,) and in everything I kept myself from being a burden to you, and will keep myself.

Y estando con vosotros y teniendo necesidad, á ninguno fuí carga; porque lo que me faltaba, suplieron los hermanos que vinieron de Macedonia: y en todo me guardé de seros gravoso, y me guardaré.

10 t ruth of Christ is in me that this boasting shall not be stopped as to me in the regions of Achaia.

Es la verdad de Cristo en mí, que esta gloria no me será cerrada en las partes de Acaya.

11 W hy? because I do not love you? God knows.

¿Por qué? ¿porque no os amo? Dios lo sabe.

12 B ut what I do, I will also do, that I may cut off the opportunity of those wishing an opportunity, that wherein they boast they may be found even as we.

Mas lo que hago, haré aún, para cortar la ocasión de aquellos que la desean, á fin de que en aquello que se glorían, sean hallados semejantes á nosotros.

13 F or such false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.

Porque éstos son falsos apóstoles, obreros fraudulentos, trasfigurándose en apóstoles de Cristo.

14 A nd not wonderful, for Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.

Y no es maravilla, porque el mismo Satanás se transfigura en ángel de luz.

15 I t is no great thing therefore if his ministers also transform themselves as ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Así que, no es mucho si también sus ministros se transfiguran como ministros de justicia; cuyo fin será conforme á sus obras.

16 A gain I say, Let not any one think me to be a fool; but if otherwise, receive me then even as a fool, that I also may boast myself some little.

Otra vez digo: Que nadie me estime ser loco; de otra manera, recibidme como á loco, para que aun me gloríe yo un poquito.

17 W hat I speak I do not speak according to Lord, but as in folly, in this confidence of boasting.

Lo que hablo, no lo hablo según el Señor, sino como en locura, con esta confianza de gloria.

18 S ince many boast according to flesh, I also will boast.

Pues que muchos se glorían según la carne, también yo me gloriaré.

19 F or ye bear fools readily, being wise.

Porque de buena gana toleráis los necios, siendo vosotros sabios:

20 F or ye bear if any one bring you into bondage, if any one devour, if any one get, if any one exalt himself, if any one beat you on the face.

Porque toleráis si alguno os pone en servidumbre, si alguno os devora, si alguno toma, si alguno se ensalza, si alguno os hiere en la cara.

21 I speak as to dishonour, as though we had been weak; but wherein any one is daring, (I speak in folly,) I also am daring.

Dígolo cuanto á la afrenta, como si nosotros hubiésemos sido flacos. Empero en lo que otro tuviere osadía (hablo con locura), también yo tengo osadía.

22 A re they Hebrews? I also. Are they Israelites? I also. Are they seed of Abraham? I also.

¿Son Hebreos? yo también. ¿Son Israelitas? yo también. ¿Son simiente de Abraham? también yo.

23 A re they ministers of Christ? (I speak as being beside myself) I above measure; in labours exceedingly abundant, in stripes to excess, in prisons exceedingly abundant, in deaths oft.

¿Son ministros de Cristo? (como poco sabio hablo) yo más: en trabajos más abundante; en azotes sin medida; en cárceles más; en muertes, muchas veces.

24 F rom the Jews five times have I received forty, save one.

De los judíos cinco veces he recibido cuarenta azotes menos uno.

25 T hrice have I been scourged, once I have been stoned, three times I have suffered shipwreck, a night and day I passed in the deep:

Tres veces he sido azotado con varas; una vez apedreado; tres veces he padecido naufragio; una noche y un día he estado en lo profundo de la mar;

26 i n journeyings often, in perils of rivers, in perils of robbers, in perils from race, in perils from nations, in perils in city, in perils in desert, in perils on sea, in perils among false brethren;

En caminos muchas veces, peligros de ríos, peligros de ladrones, peligros de los de mi nación, peligros de los Gentiles, peligros en la ciudad, peligros en el desierto, peligros en la mar, peligros entre falsos hermanos;

27 i n labour and toil, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.

En trabajo y fatiga, en muchas vigilias, en hambre y sed, en muchos ayunos, en frío y en desnudez;

28 B esides those things that are without, the crowd pressing on me daily, the burden of all the assemblies.

Sin otras cosas además, lo que sobre mí se agolpa cada día, la solicitud de todas las iglesias.

29 W ho is weak, and I am not weak? Who is stumbled, and I burn not?

¿Quién enferma, y yo no enfermo? ¿Quién se escandaliza, y yo no me quemo?

30 I f it is needful to boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity.

Si es menester gloriarse, me gloriaré yo de lo que es de mi flaqueza.

31 T he God and Father of the Lord Jesus knows—he who is blessed for ever—that I do not lie.

El Dios y Padre del Señor nuestro Jesucristo, que es bendito por siglos, sabe que no miento.

32 I n Damascus the ethnarch of Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes shut up, wishing to take me;

En Damasco, el gobernador de la provincia del rey Aretas guardaba la ciudad de los Damascenos para prenderme;

33 a nd through a window in a basket I was let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.

Y fuí descolgado del muro en un serón por una ventana, y escapé de sus manos.
