1 T he transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

O rostire cu privire la nelegiuirea celui rău se află înăuntrul inimii mele: Nu este frică de Dumnezeu înaintea ochilor lui.

2 F or he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

Căci se măguleşte prea mult în ochii săi ca să-şi mai găsească păcatul şi să-l urască.

3 T he words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.

Cuvintele gurii lui sunt rele şi înşelătoare; a încetat să mai fie înţelept şi să facă binele.

4 H e deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

Plănuieşte răul chiar şi în aşternutul său, stă pe o cale care nu este bună şi nu respinge răul.

5 T hy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Doamne, îndurarea Ta ajunge până la ceruri şi credincioşia Ta – până la nori!

6 T hy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.

Dreptatea Ta este ca munţii lui Dumnezeu şi judecata Ta – ca adâncul cel mare! Doamne, Tu dai izbăvire atât oamenilor, cât şi animalelor!

7 H ow excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

Cât de scumpă este îndurarea Ta, Dumnezeule! La umbra aripilor Tale îşi caută adăpost fiii oamenilor.

8 T hey shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

Ei se satură de belşugul casei Tale şi Tu le dai să bea din râul desfătărilor Tale.

9 F or with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

Căci la Tine este izvorul vieţii şi prin lumina Ta vedem lumina.

10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

Continuă să-Ţi arăţi îndurarea faţă de cei ce Te cunosc, şi dreptatea faţă de cei cu inima dreaptă!

11 L et not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

Să nu m-ajungă piciorul celui mândru, iar mâna celor răi să nu mă izgonească!

12 T here are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

Au şi căzut făcătorii de rele! Au fost aruncaţi şi nu se mai pot ridica!
