1 T he transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

La maldad habla al corazón del impío; en su opinión, no hay por qué temer a Dios.

2 F or he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

Vive halagándose a sí mismo, seguro de que su maldad no es condenable.

3 T he words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good.

Sus palabras son malvadas y fraudulentas; dejó de ser sabio y de practicar el bien.

4 H e deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.

Aun acostado hace planes malvados; va por el mal camino, y disfruta de su maldad.

5 T hy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Pero tu misericordia, Señor, llega a los cielos; ¡tu fidelidad se extiende hasta las nubes!

6 T hy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.

Tu justicia es como las grandes montañas; tus sentencias son como el mar profundo; ¡tú, Señor, cuidas de hombres y animales!

7 H ow excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

Dios mío, ¡cuán preciosa es tu misericordia! ¡La humanidad se acoge a la sombra de tus alas!

8 T hey shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

En tu templo se sacian de ricos alimentos; tú apagas su sed en un río de aguas deliciosas.

9 F or with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

En ti se halla el manantial de la vida, y por tu luz podemos ver la luz.

10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

Muestra tu misericordia a los que te conocen; muestra tu justicia a los de recto corazón.

11 L et not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

No dejes que los soberbios me aplasten, ni que el poder de los impíos me sacuda.

12 T here are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

Vean allí, caídos, a los que practican el mal; ¡rodaron por el suelo, y no volvieron a levantarse!
