1 A nd it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

A los ocho días, Moisés llamó a Aarón y a sus hijos, y a los ancianos de Israel.

2 a nd he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the Lord.

A Aarón le dijo: «Toma de la vacada un becerro para expiación, y un carnero para holocausto, sin defecto, y ofrécelos delante del Señor.

3 A nd unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;

Habla luego con los hijos de Israel, y diles que tomen un macho cabrío para expiación, y un becerro y un cordero de un año, sin defecto, para holocausto,

4 a lso a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the Lord; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the Lord will appear unto you.

y que sacrifiquen delante del Señor un buey y un carnero como sacrificio de paz, y una ofrenda amasada con aceite, porque hoy el Señor se mostrará ante ustedes.»

5 A nd they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the Lord.

Toda la congregación llevó al tabernáculo de reunión todo lo que Moisés ordenó que se llevara, y luego fueron y se presentaron delante del Señor.

6 A nd Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the Lord shall appear unto you.

Entonces Moisés dijo: «Esto es lo que el Señor ha ordenado hacer. Háganlo, y el Señor les mostrará su gloria.»

7 A nd Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the Lord commanded.

A Aarón, Moisés le dijo: «Acércate al altar, y presenta tu holocausto y tu ofrenda de expiación, y haz la reconciliación con Dios por ti mismo y por el pueblo. Presenta además la ofrenda del pueblo, para su reconciliación con Dios, tal y como lo ha ordenado el Señor.»

8 A aron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.

Entonces Aarón se acercó al altar y degolló el becerro para su propia expiación.

9 A nd the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:

Los hijos de Aarón le llevaron la sangre; y él mojó en ella su dedo y la untó sobre los cuernos del altar, luego derramó la sangre restante al pie del altar,

10 b ut the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the Lord commanded Moses.

y quemó sobre el altar la grasa con los riñones y la grasa del hígado de la expiación, tal y como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés,

11 A nd the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.

pero la carne y la piel las quemó fuera del campamento.

12 A nd he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.

Aarón degolló también el holocausto, y los hijos de Aarón le llevaron la sangre y él la roció sobre el altar y alrededor de éste.

13 A nd they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.

Entonces le llevaron el holocausto pieza por pieza, y la cabeza, y Aarón quemó todo esto sobre el altar.

14 A nd he did wash the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt offering on the altar.

Luego lavó los intestinos y las piernas, y quemó todo esto en el altar, junto con el holocausto;

15 A nd he brought the people’s offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

ofreció también la ofrenda del pueblo, tomó el macho cabrío que era para la expiación del pueblo y, como había hecho con el primero, lo degolló y lo ofreció por el pecado;

16 A nd he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the manner.

además, ofreció el holocausto, según el rito establecido,

17 A nd he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.

ofreció la ofrenda, tomó un puñado de ella, y la quemó sobre el altar, además del holocausto de la mañana.

18 H e slew also the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron’s sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,

Aarón degolló también el buey y el carnero en sacrificio de paz, que era del pueblo, y los hijos de Aarón le llevaron la sangre y él la roció sobre el altar y alrededor de éste;

19 a nd the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver:

tomó las grasas del buey y del carnero, junto con la cola, la grasa que recubre los intestinos, los riñones, y la grasa del hígado,

20 a nd they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:

y poniendo las grasas sobre el pecho del animal sacrificado las quemó sobre el altar.

21 a nd the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the Lord; as Moses commanded.

Sin embargo, el pecho y la espaldilla derecha los meció Aarón delante del Señor, como ofrenda mecida, tal y como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.

22 A nd Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.

Luego, Aarón levantó las manos en dirección al pueblo, lo bendijo y descendió, después de hacer la expiación, el holocausto y el sacrificio de paz.

23 A nd Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto all the people.

Entonces Moisés y Aarón entraron en el tabernáculo de reunión, y luego salieron y bendijeron al pueblo, y el Señor mostró su gloria a todo el pueblo:

24 A nd there came a fire out from before the Lord, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

De la presencia del Señor salió un fuego que consumió el holocausto y las grasas que estaban sobre el altar. Al ver esto, todo el pueblo alabó a Dios y se postró sobre su rostro.
