1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Bendeciré al Señor en todo tiempo; su alabanza estará siempre en mi boca.

2 M y soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

Alabaré al Señor con toda el alma. ¡Escuchen, gente humilde, y alégrense también!

3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

¡Únanse a mí, y reconozcan su grandeza! ¡Exaltemos a una voz su nombre!

4 I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Busqué al Señor, y él me escuchó, y me libró de todos mis temores.

5 T hey looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

Los que a él acuden irradian alegría; no tienen por qué esconder su rostro.

6 T his poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

Este pobre clamó, y el Señor lo oyó y lo libró de todas sus angustias.

7 T he angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

Para defender a los que temen al Señor, su ángel acampa alrededor de ellos.

8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

¡Prueben ustedes mismos la bondad del Señor! ¡Dichoso aquél que en él confía!

9 O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

Ustedes, sus fieles, teman al Señor, pues a quienes le temen nunca les falta nada.

10 T he young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.

Los cachorros del león chillan de hambre, pero los que buscan al Señor lo tienen todo.

11 C ome, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

Hijos míos, acérquense y escúchenme; voy a enseñarles a honrar al Señor.

12 W hat man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

¿Quién de ustedes anhela vivir mucho tiempo? ¿Quién quiere vivir y llegar a ver el bien?

13 K eep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Eviten entonces que su lengua hable mal; eviten que sus labios profieran mentiras.

14 D epart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

Apártense del mal y practiquen el bien; busquen la paz, y no la abandonen.

15 T he eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

El Señor no aparta sus ojos de los justos; sus oídos están siempre atentos a su clamor.

16 T he face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

El Señor vigila a los que hacen el mal Para borrar de la tierra su memoria.

17 T he righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

Los justos gimen, y el Señor los escucha y los libra de todas sus angustias.

18 T he Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Cercano está el Señor para salvar a los que tienen roto el corazón y el espíritu.

19 M any are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.

El justo pasa por muchas aflicciones, pero el Señor lo libra de todas ellas.

20 H e keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

El Señor le cuida cada uno de sus huesos, y ni uno solo de ellos se le quebrará.

21 E vil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.

Al malvado lo destruye su propia maldad; y los que odian al justo recibirán condenación.

22 T he Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.

El Señor rescata el alma de sus siervos; no serán condenados los que en él confían.
