1 T he fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

Dentro de sí dicen los necios: «Dios no existe.» Corrompidos están. Sus hechos son repugnantes. No hay nadie que haga el bien.

2 G od looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

Desde el cielo, Dios observa a la humanidad para ver si hay alguien con sabiduría que busque a Dios.

3 E very one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Pero todos se han desviado; todos a una se han corrompido. No hay nadie que haga el bien; ¡ni siquiera hay uno solo!

4 H ave the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

¿Acaso no piensan esos malhechores, que devoran a mi pueblo como si fuera pan, y jamás invocan a Dios?

5 T here were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.

Ellos se estremecerán de miedo allí, donde no hay nada que temer. Dios esparcirá los huesos de los que te asedian; Dios los desechará y los dejará en vergüenza.

6 O h that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

¡Que venga de Sión la salvación de Israel! Cuando Dios haga volver a su pueblo cautivo, ¡se alegrará Jacob, se regocijará Israel!
