1 T hen answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

Atunci Bildad din Şuah i-a zis:

2 D ominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

„Domnia şi veneraţia sunt ale Lui! El face pace în înălţimile cerului Său.

3 I s there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

Cine-I poate număra oştirile? Peste cine nu răsare lumina Sa?

4 H ow then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

Cum poate fi un om drept înaintea lui Dumnezeu? Cum poate fi curat cel născut din femeie?

5 B ehold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

Dacă nici luna nu e strălucitoare şi nici stelele nu sunt curate înaintea Sa,

6 H ow much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

cu atât mai puţin un om, care nu e decât o larvă şi fiul omului, care nu e decât un vierme.“
