1 P oi guardai e vidi l’Agnello che stava in piedi sul monte Sion, e con lui erano centoquarantaquattromila persone che avevano il suo nome e il nome di suo Padre scritto sulla fronte.

Then I looked and saw the Lamb standing on Mount Zion. There were 144, 000 people with Him. These people had His name and His Father’s name written on their foreheads.

2 U dii una voce dal cielo simile a un fragore di grandi acque e al rumore di un forte tuono; e la voce che udii era come il suono prodotto da arpisti che suonano le loro arpe.

I heard a voice coming from heaven. It was like the sound of rushing water and of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like people playing music on their harps.

3 E ssi cantavano un cantico nuovo davanti al trono, davanti alle quattro creature viventi e agli anziani. Nessuno poteva imparare il cantico se non i centoquarantaquattromila, che sono stati riscattati dalla terra.

This large group sang a new song. They sang before the throne and in front of the four living beings and the twenty-four leaders. Only the 144, 000 could learn this song. They had been bought by the blood of Christ and made free from the earth.

4 E ssi sono quelli che non si sono contaminati con donne, poiché sono vergini. Essi sono quelli che seguono l’Agnello dovunque vada. Essi sono stati riscattati tra gli uomini per essere primizie a Dio e all’Agnello.

These are men who have kept themselves pure by not being married. They follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They have been bought by the blood of Christ and have been made free from among men. They are the first ones to be given to God and to the Lamb.

5 N ella bocca loro non è stata trovata menzogna: sono irreprensibili. Tre angeli proclamano i giudizi di Dio

No lie has come from their mouths. They are without blame. The Three Angels

6 P oi vidi un altro angelo che volava in mezzo al cielo, recante il vangelo eterno per annunciarlo a quelli che abitano sulla terra, a ogni nazione, tribù, lingua e popolo.

Then I saw another angel flying in the heavens. He was carrying the Good News that lasts forever. He was preaching to every nation and to every family group and to the people of every language and to all the people of the earth.

7 E gli diceva con voce forte: «Temete Dio e dategli gloria, perché è giunta l’ora del suo giudizio. Adorate colui che ha fatto il cielo, la terra, il mare e le fonti delle acque».

He said with a loud voice, “Honor God with love and fear. The time has come for Him to judge all men. Worship Him Who made heaven and earth and the sea and the places where water comes out of the earth.”

8 P oi un secondo angelo seguì dicendo: «Caduta, caduta è Babilonia la grande, che ha fatto bere a tutte le nazioni il vino dell’ira della sua prostituzione».

A second angel followed, saying, “Babylon has fallen! The great city Babylon has fallen! She made all the nations drink of the wine of her sinful sex life.”

9 S eguì un terzo angelo, dicendo a gran voce: «Chiunque adora la bestia e la sua immagine, e ne prende il marchio sulla fronte o sulla mano,

A third angel followed, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the wild animal and his false god and receives a mark on his forehead or hand,

10 e gli pure berrà il vino dell’ira di Dio versato puro nel calice della sua ira; e sarà tormentato con fuoco e zolfo davanti ai santi angeli e davanti all’Agnello».

he will drink of the wine of the anger of God. It is mixed in full strength in the cup of God’s anger. They will be punished with fire and burning sulphur in front of the holy angels and before the Lamb.

11 I l fumo del loro tormento sale nei secoli dei secoli. Chiunque adora la bestia e la sua immagine, e prende il marchio del suo nome, non ha riposo né giorno né notte.

The smoke of those who are being punished will go up forever. They have no rest day or night. It is because they have worshiped the wild animal and his false god and have received the mark of his name.

12 Q ui è la costanza dei santi che osservano i comandamenti di Dio e la fede in Gesù.

This is why God’s people need to keep true to God’s Word and stay faithful to Jesus.

13 E udii una voce dal cielo che diceva: «Scrivi: beati i morti che da ora innanzi muoiono nel Signore. Sì, dice lo Spirito, essi si riposano dalle loro fatiche perché le loro opere li seguono». La mèsse e la vendemmia

Then I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Write these words: ‘From now on those who are dead who died belonging to the Lord will be happy.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “they will have rest from all their work. All the good things they have done will follow them.” The War of Armageddon

14 P oi guardai e vidi una nube bianca; e sulla nube stava seduto uno, simile a un figlio d’uomo, che aveva sul capo una corona d’oro e in mano una falce affilata.

I looked and saw a white cloud. Sitting on the cloud was One like the Son of Man. He had a crown of gold on His head. In His hand He had a sharp knife for cutting grain.

15 U n altro angelo uscì dal tempio, gridando a gran voce a colui che stava seduto sulla nube: «Metti mano alla tua falce e mieti; poiché è giunta l’ora di mietere, perché la mèsse della terra è matura ».

Then another angel came out from the house of God and called to Him with a loud voice. He said, “Use Your knife and gather in the grain. The time has come to gather the grain because the earth is ready.”

16 C olui che era seduto sulla nube lanciò la sua falce sulla terra, e la terra fu mietuta.

He Who sat on the cloud raised His knife over the earth. And the grain was gathered in.

17 P oi dal tempio, che è nel cielo, uscì un altro angelo; anch’egli aveva una falce affilata.

Then another angel came out from the house of God in heaven. He had a sharp knife for cutting grain also.

18 E un altro angelo, che aveva potere sul fuoco, uscì dall’altare e gridò a gran voce a quello che aveva la falce affilata: «Metti mano alla tua falce affilata e vendemmia i grappoli della vigna della terra, perché le sue uve sono mature».

Another angel who has power over fire came out from the altar. He said with a loud voice to the angel who had the sharp knife, “Use your knife and gather in the grapes from the vine of the earth, for they are ready to gather.”

19 L ’angelo lanciò la sua falce sulla terra e vendemmiò la vigna della terra e gettò l’uva nel grande tino dell’ira di Dio.

The angel used his sickle on the earth. He gathered from the vine of the earth and put the fruit into the large place for making wine. It was full of God’s anger.

20 I l tino fu pigiato fuori dalla città e dal tino uscì tanto sangue che giungeva fino al morso dei cavalli, per una distesa di milleseicento stadi.

They walked on it outside the city and blood came out of the place where wine is made. The blood ran as far as a man could walk in seven days. It came up as high as a horse’s head.
