2 L ord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications.

HERR, höre auf meine Stimme, laß deine Ohren merken auf die Stimme meines Flehens!

3 I f You, Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?

So du willst, HERR, Sünden zurechnen, HERR, wer wird bestehen?

4 B ut there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.

Denn bei dir ist die Vergebung, daß man dich fürchte.

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope.

Ich harre des HERRN; meine Seele harret, und ich hoffe auf sein Wort.

6 M y soul waits for the Lord More than those who watch for the morning— Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.

Meine Seele wartet auf den HERRN von einer Morgenwache bis zur andern.

7 O Israel, hope in the Lord; For with the Lord there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption.

Israel, hoffe auf den HERRN! denn bei dem HERRN ist die Gnade und viel Erlösung bei ihm,

8 A nd He shall redeem Israel From all his iniquities.

und er wird Israel erlösen aus allen seinen Sünden.
