1 N o te irrites a causa de los malhechores; No tengas envidia de los que practican la iniquidad.

Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 P orque como la hierba pronto se secarán Y se marchitarán como la hierba verde.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 C onfía en el Señor, y haz el bien; Habita en la tierra, y cultiva la fidelidad.

Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 P on tu delicia en el Señor, Y El te dará las peticiones de tu corazón.

Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 E ncomienda al Señor tu camino, Confía en El, que El actuará;

Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 H ará resplandecer tu justicia como la luz, Y tu derecho como el mediodía.

And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 C onfía callado en el Señor y espera en El con paciencia; No te irrites a causa del que prospera en su camino, Por el hombre que lleva a cabo sus intrigas.

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 D eja la ira y abandona el furor; No te irrites, sólo harías lo malo.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 P orque los malhechores serán exterminados, Pero los que esperan en el Señor poseerán la tierra.

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

10 U n poco más y no existirá el impío; Buscarás con cuidado su lugar, pero él no estará allí.

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11 P ero los humildes poseerán la tierra Y se deleitarán en abundante prosperidad.

But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 E l impío trama contra el justo, Y contra él rechina sus dientes.

The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 E l Señor se ríe de él, Porque ve que su día se acerca.

The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

14 L os impíos han sacado la espada y entesado el arco Para abatir al afligido y al necesitado, Para matar a los de recto proceder.

The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

15 S u espada les atravesará su propio corazón, Y sus arcos serán quebrados.

Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 M ejor es lo poco del justo Que la abundancia de muchos impíos.

A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 P orque los brazos de los impíos serán quebrados, Pero el Señor sostiene a los justos.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the Lord upholdeth the righteous.

18 E l Señor conoce los días de los íntegros, Y su herencia será perpetua.

The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 N o serán avergonzados en el tiempo malo, Y en días de hambre se saciarán.

They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 P ero los impíos perecerán, Y los enemigos del Señor serán como las flores de los prados; Desaparecen, se desvanecen como el humo.

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

21 E l impío pide prestado y no paga, Pero el justo es compasivo y da.

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

22 P orque los que son bendecidos por el Señor poseerán la tierra, Pero los maldecidos por El serán exterminados.

For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

23 P or el Señor son ordenados los pasos del hombre, Y el Señor se deleita en su camino.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

24 C uando caiga, no quedará derribado, Porque el Señor sostiene su mano.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

25 Y o fui joven, y ya soy viejo, Y no he visto al justo desamparado, Ni a su descendencia mendigando pan.

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26 T odo el día es compasivo y presta, Y su descendencia es para bendición.

He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

27 A pártate del mal y haz el bien, Y tendrás morada para siempre.

Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28 P orque el Señor ama la justicia, Y no abandona a Sus santos; Ellos son preservados para siempre, Pero la descendencia de los impíos será exterminada.

For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 L os justos poseerán la tierra, Y para siempre morarán en ella.

The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30 L a boca del justo profiere sabiduría Y su lengua habla rectitud.

The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

31 L a ley de su Dios está en su corazón; No vacilan sus pasos.

The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

32 E l impío acecha al justo Y procura matarlo.

The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

33 E l Señor no dejará al justo en sus manos, Ni permitirá que lo condenen cuando sea juzgado.

The Lord will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 E spera en el Señor y guarda Su camino, Y El te exaltará para que poseas la tierra. Cuando los impíos sean exterminados, tú lo verás.

Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

35 H e visto al impío, violento, Extenderse como frondoso árbol en su propio suelo.

I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

36 L uego pasó, y ya no estaba; Lo busqué, pero no se pudo encontrar.

Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 O bserva al que es íntegro, mira al que es recto; Porque el hombre de paz tendrá descendencia.

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

38 P ero los transgresores serán destruidos a una; La posteridad de los impíos será exterminada.

But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 P ero la salvación de los justos viene del Señor; El es su fortaleza en el tiempo de la angustia.

But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

40 E l Señor los ayuda y los libra; Los libra de los impíos y los salva, Porque en El se refugian.

And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
