1 P or eso, cuando fui a ustedes, hermanos, proclamándoles el testimonio de Dios, no fui con superioridad de palabra o de sabiduría.

And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

2 P orque nada me propuse saber entre ustedes excepto a Jesucristo, y Este crucificado.

For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

3 E stuve entre ustedes con debilidad y con temor y mucho temblor,

And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

4 y mi mensaje (mi palabra) y mi predicación no fueron con palabras persuasivas de sabiduría, sino con demostración del Espíritu y de poder,

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

5 p ara que la fe de ustedes no descanse en la sabiduría de los hombres, sino en el poder de Dios. La Revelación por el Espíritu de Dios

that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

6 S in embargo, hablamos sabiduría entre los que han alcanzado madurez; pero una sabiduría no de este siglo, ni de los gobernantes de este siglo, que van desapareciendo,

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

7 s ino que hablamos sabiduría de Dios en misterio, la sabiduría oculta que, desde antes de los siglos, Dios predestinó para nuestra gloria.

but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8 E sta sabiduría que ninguno de los gobernantes de este siglo ha entendido, porque si la hubieran entendido no habrían crucificado al Señor de gloria;

which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 s ino como está escrito: “ Cosas que ojo no vio, ni oido oyo, Ni han entrado al corazon del hombre, son las cosas que Dios ha preparado para los que Lo aman.”

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 P ero Dios nos las reveló por medio del Espíritu, porque el Espíritu todo lo escudriña, aun las profundidades de Dios.

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 P orque entre los hombres, ¿quién conoce los pensamientos de un hombre, sino el espíritu del hombre que está en él? Asimismo, nadie conoce los pensamientos de Dios, sino el Espíritu de Dios.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Y nosotros hemos recibido, no el espíritu del mundo, sino el Espíritu que viene de Dios, para que conozcamos lo que Dios nos ha dado gratuitamente,

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 d e lo cual también hablamos, no con palabras enseñadas por sabiduría humana, sino con las enseñadas por el Espíritu, combinando pensamientos espirituales con palabras espirituales.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 P ero el hombre natural no acepta las cosas del Espíritu de Dios, porque para él son necedad; y no las puede entender, porque son cosas que se disciernen (se examinan) espiritualmente.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

15 E n cambio, el que es espiritual juzga todas las cosas; pero él no es juzgado por nadie.

But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

16 P orque ¿ quien ha conocido la mente del Señor, para que Lo instruya ? Pero nosotros tenemos la mente de Cristo.

For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
