1 D ios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has abandonado ? ¿ Por qué estás tan lejos de mi salvación y de las palabras de mi clamor ?

My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

2 D ios mío, de día clamo y no respondes; Y de noche, pero no hay para mí reposo.

O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

3 S in embargo, Tú eres santo, Que habitas entre las alabanzas de Israel.

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

4 E n Ti confiaron nuestros padres; Confiaron, y Tú los libraste.

Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

5 A Ti clamaron, y fueron librados; En Ti confiaron, y no fueron decepcionados.

They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

6 P ero yo soy gusano, y no hombre; Oprobio de los hombres, y despreciado del pueblo.

But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.

7 T odos los que me ven, de mí se burlan; Hacen muecas con los labios, menean la cabeza, diciendo:

All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

8 Q ue se encomiende al Señor; que El lo libre; Que El lo rescate, puesto que en El se deleita.

He trusted on the Lord that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

9 P orque Tú me sacaste del seno materno; Me hiciste confiar estando a los pechos de mi madre.

But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.

10 A Ti fui entregado desde mi nacimiento; Desde el vientre de mi madre Tú eres mi Dios.

I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.

11 N o estés lejos de mí, porque la angustia está cerca, Pues no hay nadie que ayude.

Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

12 M uchos toros me han rodeado; Toros fuertes de Basán me han cercado.

Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

13 A vidos abren su boca contra mí, Como un león que despedaza y ruge.

They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

14 S oy derramado como agua, Y todos mis huesos están descoyuntados; Mi corazón es como cera; Se derrite en medio de mis entrañas.

I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.

15 C omo un tiesto se ha secado mi vigor, Y la lengua se me pega al paladar; Me has puesto en el polvo de la muerte.

My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

16 P orque perros me han rodeado; Me ha cercado cuadrilla de malhechores; Me horadaron las manos y los pies.

For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

17 P uedo contar todos mis huesos; Ellos me miran, me observan.

I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

18 S e reparten entre sí mis vestidos, Y sobre mi ropa echan suertes.

They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

19 P ero Tú, oh Señor, no estés lejos; Fuerza mía, apresúrate a socorrerme.

But be not thou far from me, O Lord: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

20 L ibra mi alma de la espada, Mi única vida de las garras del perro.

Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

21 S álvame de la boca del león Y de los cuernos de los búfalos; respóndeme.

Save me from the lion’s mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

22 H ablaré de Tu nombre a mis hermanos; En medio de la congregación Te alabaré.

I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

23 L os que temen al Señor, alábenlo; Descendencia toda de Jacob, glorifíquenlo, Témanlo, descendencia toda de Israel.

Ye that fear the Lord, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

24 P orque El no ha despreciado ni aborrecido la aflicción del angustiado, Ni le ha escondido Su rostro; Sino que cuando clamó al Señor, lo escuchó.

For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard.

25 D e Ti viene mi alabanza en la gran congregación; Mis votos cumpliré delante de los que Le temen.

My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

26 L os pobres comerán y se saciarán; Los que buscan al Señor, Lo alabarán. ¡Viva para siempre el corazón de ustedes!

The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the Lord that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

27 T odos los términos de la tierra se acordarán y se volverán al Señor, Y todas las familias de las naciones adorarán delante de Ti.

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the Lord: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

28 P orque del Señor es el reino, Y El gobierna las naciones.

For the kingdom is the Lord’s: and he is the governor among the nations.

29 T odos los grandes de la tierra comerán y adorarán; Se postrarán ante El todos los que descienden al polvo, Aun aquél que no puede conservar viva su alma.

All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

30 L a posteridad Le servirá; Esto se dirá del Señor hasta la generación venidera.

A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

31 V endrán y anunciarán Su justicia; A un pueblo por nacer, anunciarán que El ha hecho esto.

They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.
