1 P aul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,

2 A nd to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:

3 G race to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

благодать вам и мир от Бога Отца нашего и Господа Иисуса Христа.

4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,

Благодарю Бога моего, всегда вспоминая о тебе в молитвах моих,

5 H earing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

слыша о твоей любви и вере, которую имеешь к Господу Иисусу и ко всем святым,

6 T hat the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

дабы общение веры твоей оказалось деятельным в познании всякого у вас добра во Христе Иисусе.

7 F or we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

Ибо мы имеем великую радость и утешение в любви твоей, потому что тобою, брат, успокоены сердца святых.

8 W herefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,

Посему, имея великое во Христе дерзновение приказывать тебе, что должно,

9 Y et for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

по любви лучше прошу, не иной кто, как я, Павел старец, а теперь и узник Иисуса Христа;

10 I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:

прошу тебя о сыне моем Онисиме, которого родил я в узах моих:

11 W hich in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:

он был некогда негоден для тебя, а теперь годен тебе и мне; я возвращаю его;

12 W hom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:

ты же прими его, как мое сердце.

13 W hom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:

Я хотел при себе удержать его, дабы он вместо тебя послужил мне в узах благовествование;

14 B ut without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.

но без твоего согласия ничего не хотел сделать, чтобы доброе дело твое было не вынужденно, а добровольно.

15 F or perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;

Ибо, может быть, он для того на время отлучился, чтобы тебе принять его навсегда,

16 N ot now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

не как уже раба, но выше раба, брата возлюбленного, особенно мне, а тем больше тебе, и по плоти и в Господе.

17 I f thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.

Итак, если ты имеешь общение со мною, то прими его, как меня.

18 I f he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;

Если же он чем обидел тебя, или должен, считай это на мне.

19 I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.

Я, Павел, написал моею рукою: я заплачу; не говорю тебе о том, что ты и самим собою мне должен.

20 Y ea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.

Так, брат, дай мне воспользоваться от тебя в Господе; успокой мое сердце в Господе.

21 H aving confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.

Надеясь на послушание твое, я написал к тебе, зная, что ты сделаешь и более, нежели говорю.

22 B ut withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

А вместе приготовь для меня и помещение; ибо надеюсь, что по молитвам вашим я буду дарован вам.

23 T here salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;

Приветствует тебя Епафрас, узник вместе со мною ради Христа Иисуса,

24 M arcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.

Марк, Аристарх, Димас, Лука, сотрудники мои.

25 T he grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
