1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

Yo me alegré con los que me decían: «¡A la casa de Jehová iremos!»

2 O ur feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

Nuestros pies estuvieron dentro de tus puertas, Jerusalén.

3 J erusalem is builded as a city that is compact together:

Jerusalén, que ha sido edificada como una ciudad que está bien unida entre sí.

4 W hither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.

Allá subieron las tribus, las tribus de Jah, conforme al testimonio dado a Israel, para alabar el nombre de Jehová,

5 F or there are set thrones of judgment, the thrones of the house of David.

porque allá están las sillas del juicio, los tronos de la casa de David.

6 P ray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Pedid por la paz de Jerusalén; ¡sean prosperados los que te aman!

7 P eace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

¡Sea la paz dentro de tus muros y el descanso dentro de tus palacios!

8 F or my brethren and companions' sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

Por amor de mis hermanos y mis compañeros diré yo: «¡La paz sea contigo!»

9 B ecause of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.

Por amor a la casa de Jehová, nuestro Dios, buscaré tu bien.
