7 T he sons of Shemaiah; Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brethren were strong men, Elihu, and Semachiah.

Los hijos de Semaías: Otni, Rafael, Obed, Elzabad, y sus hermanos, hombres esforzados; asimismo Eliú y Samaquías.

8 A ll these of the sons of Obededom: they and their sons and their brethren, able men for strength for the service, were threescore and two of Obededom.

Todos estos de los hijos de Obed-edom; ellos con sus hijos y sus hermanos, eran hombres robustos y fuertes para el servicio; sesenta y dos de Obed-edom.

9 A nd Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, strong men, eighteen.

Los hijos de Meselemías y sus hermanos fueron dieciocho hombres valientes.

10 A lso Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons; Simri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him the chief;)

Entre estos se hizo la distribución de los porteros, alternando los principales de los hombres en la guardia con sus hermanos, para servir en la casa de Jehová.

13 A nd they cast lots, as well the small as the great, according to the house of their fathers, for every gate.

Echaron suertes, el pequeño con el grande, según sus casas paternas, para cada puerta.

14 A nd the lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

Para la puerta del oriente, la suerte cayó sobre Selemías. Echaron otra vez suertes y la parte norte le tocó a su hijo Zacarías, consejero entendido.

15 T o Obededom southward; and to his sons the house of Asuppim.

A Obed-edom le tocó la puerta del sur, y a sus hijos la casa de provisiones del Templo.

16 T o Shuppim and Hosah the lot came forth westward, with the gate Shallecheth, by the causeway of the going up, ward against ward.

Para Supim y Hosa, la del occidente, la puerta de Salequet, en el camino de la subida. Las guardias se correspondían unas a otras:

17 E astward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and toward Asuppim two and two.

Éstas son las distribuciones de los porteros, hijos de los coreítas y de los hijos de Merari.

De los levitas, Ahías estaba encargado de los tesoros de la casa de Dios y de los tesoros de las cosas santificadas.

Sebuel hijo de Gersón hijo de Moisés, era tesorero mayor.

25 A nd his brethren by Eliezer; Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomith his son.

En cuanto a su hermano Eliezer, sus descendientes por línea directa fueron Rehabías, Jesaías, Joram, Zicri y Selomit.

26 W hich Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasures of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the chief fathers, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the host, had dedicated.

Este Selomit y sus hermanos tenían a su cargo todos los tesoros de todas las cosas santificadas que había consagrado el rey David, y los jefes de las casas paternas, los capitanes de millares y de centenas, y los jefes del ejército.

27 O ut of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the Lord.

Lo habían consagrado de las guerras y de los botines, para reparar la casa de Jehová.

28 A nd all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated; and whosoever had dedicated any thing, it was under the hand of Shelomith, and of his brethren.

Asimismo todas las cosas que habían consagrado el vidente Samuel, y Saúl hijo de Cis, Abner hijo de Ner y Joab hijo de Sarvia, y todo lo que cualquiera consagraba, estaba a cargo de Selomit y de sus hermanos.

29 O f the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

De los izharitas, Quenanías y sus hijos eran gobernadores y jueces sobre Israel en asuntos exteriores.

30 A nd of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brethren, men of valour, a thousand and seven hundred, were officers among them of Israel on this side Jordan westward in all the business of the Lord, and in the service of the king.

De los hebronitas, Hasabías y sus hermanos, hombres de vigor, en número de mil setecientos, gobernaban a Israel al otro lado del Jordán, al occidente, para toda la obra de Jehová y el servicio del rey.

31 A mong the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even among the Hebronites, according to the generations of his fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valour at Jazer of Gilead.

El jefe de los hebronitas, repartidos en sus linajes por sus familias, era Jerías. En el año cuarenta del reinado de David se registraron, y se halló entre ellos a hombres fuertes y vigorosos en Jazer de Galaad.

32 A nd his brethren, men of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred chief fathers, whom king David made rulers over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God, and affairs of the king.

Los hermanos de Jerías eran hombres valientes, en número de dos mil setecientos, jefes de familias, los cuales el rey David constituyó sobre los rubenitas, los gaditas y la media tribu de Manasés, para todas las cosas de Dios y los negocios del rey.
