1 M oreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

Vino a mí palabra de Jehová, diciendo:

2 A lso, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land.

«Tú, hijo de hombre, anuncia que así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor, a la tierra de Israel: »“El fin, el fin viene sobre los cuatro extremos de la tierra.

3 N ow is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations.

Ahora será el fin sobre ti, pues enviaré sobre ti mi furor y te juzgaré según tus caminos, y pondré sobre ti todas tus abominaciones.

4 A nd mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Mi ojo no te perdonará ni tendré misericordia, antes pondré sobre ti tus caminos y en medio de ti estarán tus abominaciones; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.”

5 T hus saith the Lord God; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come.

»Así ha dicho Jehová, el Señor: »¡Un mal, he aquí que viene un mal!

6 A n end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come.

¡Viene el fin, el fin viene; se ha despertado contra ti; ciertamente que viene!

7 T he morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains.

¡La mañana viene para ti, morador de la tierra; el tiempo viene, cercano está el día: día de tumulto y no de alegría sobre los montes!

8 N ow will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations.

Ahora pronto derramaré mi ira sobre ti y consumaré en ti mi furor; te juzgaré según tus caminos y pondré sobre ti tus abominaciones.

9 A nd mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the Lord that smiteth.

Mi ojo no perdonará ni tendré misericordia. Según tus caminos pondré sobre ti, y en medio de ti estarán tus abominaciones; y sabréis que yo, Jehová, soy el que castiga.

10 B ehold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.

»¡Ya viene el día, ciertamente viene! Ha llegado el momento; ha florecido la vara, ha reverdecido la soberbia.

11 V iolence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of their's: neither shall there be wailing for them.

La violencia se ha levantado como vara de maldad; no quedará ninguno de ellos ni de su multitud, ni uno de los suyos, ni habrá entre ellos quien se lamente.

12 T he time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

El tiempo ha venido, se acercó el día. ¡No se alegre el que compra ni llore el que vende!, porque la ira está sobre toda la multitud;

13 F or the seller shall not return to that which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole multitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself in the iniquity of his life.

porque el que vende no volverá a lo vendido, aunque queden vivos; porque la visión sobre toda la multitud no se revocará, y a causa de su iniquidad ninguno podrá conservar la vida.

14 T hey have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: for my wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.

»Tocarán trompeta y prepararán todas las cosas; pero no habrá quien vaya a la batalla, porque mi ira está sobre toda la multitud.

15 T he sword is without, and the pestilence and the famine within: he that is in the field shall die with the sword; and he that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him.

Fuera, la espada; y dentro, la peste y el hambre. El que esté en el campo morirá a espada, y al que esté en la ciudad lo consumirá el hambre y la peste.

16 B ut they that escape of them shall escape, and shall be on the mountains like doves of the valleys, all of them mourning, every one for his iniquity.

Los que sobrevivan huirán y estarán sobre los montes como palomas de los valles, todos gimiendo, cada uno por su iniquidad.

17 A ll hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.

Toda mano se debilitará, y como el agua se debilitará toda rodilla.

18 T hey shall also gird themselves with sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and baldness upon all their heads.

Se ceñirán también de ropa áspera y los cubrirá el terror; en todo rostro habrá vergüenza y todas sus cabezas estarán rapadas.

19 T hey shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the stumblingblock of their iniquity.

Arrojarán su plata a las calles y su oro será desechado; ni su plata ni su oro podrán librarlos en el día del furor de Jehová; no saciarán su alma ni llenarán sus entrañas, porque ha sido tropiezo para su maldad.

20 A s for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty: but they made the images of their abominations and of their detestable things therein: therefore have I set it far from them.

Por cuanto convirtieron la gloria de su ornamento en soberbia e hicieron con ello las imágenes de sus abominables ídolos, por eso se lo convertí en algo repugnante.

21 A nd I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall pollute it.

En manos de extraños la entregué para ser saqueada: será presa de los impíos de la tierra, y la profanarán.

22 M y face will I turn also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the robbers shall enter into it, and defile it.

Apartaré de ellos mi rostro y será violado mi lugar secreto, pues entrarán en él invasores y lo profanarán.

23 M ake a chain: for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of violence.

»Haz una cadena, porque el país está lleno de delitos de sangre y la ciudad está llena de violencia.

24 W herefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.

Traeré, por tanto, a los más perversos de las naciones, los cuales poseerán las casas de ellos. Así haré cesar la soberbia de los poderosos, y sus santuarios serán profanados.

25 D estruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and there shall be none.

¡La destrucción llega! Buscarán la paz, pero no habrá paz.

26 M ischief shall come upon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; then shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but the law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the ancients.

Vendrá quebranto sobre quebranto, y habrá rumor sobre rumor. Buscarán respuesta del profeta, mas la Ley se alejará del sacerdote, y de los ancianos el consejo.

27 T he king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

El rey se enlutará, el gobernante se vestirá de tristeza y las manos del pueblo de la tierra temblarán. Según su camino haré con ellos, y con los juicios de ellos los juzgaré. Y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.»
