1 A nd take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.

»Harás que Aarón, tu hermano, junto a sus hijos, se acerquen a ti para que sean mis sacerdotes entre los hijos de Israel; Aarón con sus hijos Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.

2 A nd thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.

Harás vestiduras sagradas a Aarón, tu hermano, que le den honra y hermosura.

3 A nd thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

Y tú hablarás con todos los sabios de corazón, a quienes yo he llenado de espíritu de sabiduría, para que hagan las vestiduras de Aarón y así consagrarlo para que sea mi sacerdote.

4 A nd these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.

Las vestiduras que harán son éstas: el pectoral, el efod, el manto, la túnica bordada, la mitra y el cinturón. Hagan, pues, las vestiduras sagradas a Aarón, tu hermano, y a sus hijos, para que sean mis sacerdotes.

5 A nd they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen.

Tomarán oro, azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino torcido.

6 A nd they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.

»Harán el efod de oro, azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino torcido, todo de obra primorosa.

7 I t shall have the two shoulderpieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together.

Tendrá dos hombreras que se junten a sus dos extremos, y así se juntará.

8 A nd the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.

El cinto de obra primorosa que estará sobre él, formará con él una sola pieza, y será también de oro, azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino torcido.

9 A nd thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:

»Tomarás dos piedras de ónice y grabarás en ellas los nombres de los hijos de Israel:

10 S ix of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.

seis de sus nombres en una piedra y los otros seis nombres en la otra piedra, conforme al orden de su nacimiento.

11 W ith the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.

De obra de grabador en piedra, como grabaduras de sello, harás grabar las dos piedras con los nombres de los hijos de Israel; les harás alrededor engastes de oro.

12 A nd thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord upon his two shoulders for a memorial.

Y pondrás las dos piedras sobre las hombreras del efod, como piedras memoriales para los hijos de Israel. Así llevará Aarón sus nombres delante de Jehová sobre sus dos hombros como un memorial.

13 A nd thou shalt make ouches of gold;

Harás, pues, los engastes de oro

14 A nd two chains of pure gold at the ends; of wreathen work shalt thou make them, and fasten the wreathen chains to the ouches.

y dos cordones de oro fino; los harás en forma de trenza y fijarás los cordones trenzados en los engastes.

15 A nd thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.

»Harás asimismo el pectoral del juicio de obra primorosa, lo harás conforme a la obra del efod, de oro, azul, púrpura, carmesí y lino torcido.

16 F oursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof.

Será cuadrado y doble, de un palmo de largo y un palmo de ancho.

17 A nd thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.

Lo llenarás de pedrería en cuatro hileras de piedras: la primera hilera llevará una piedra sárdica, un topacio y un carbunclo;

18 A nd the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.

la segunda hilera, una esmeralda, un zafiro y un diamante;

19 A nd the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.

la tercera hilera, un jacinto, una ágata y una amatista;

20 A nd the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.

la cuarta hilera, un berilo, un ónice y un jaspe. Todas estarán montadas en engastes de oro.

21 A nd the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.

Las piedras serán doce, como los nombres de los hijos de Israel; grabadas como los sellos, cada una con su nombre, conforme a las doce tribus.

22 A nd thou shalt make upon the breastplate chains at the ends of wreathen work of pure gold.

»Harás para el pectoral cordones torcidos como trenzas de oro fino,

23 A nd thou shalt make upon the breastplate two rings of gold, and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.

y también dos argollas de oro, las cuales pondrás a los dos extremos del pectoral.

24 A nd thou shalt put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the breastplate.

Fijarás los dos cordones de oro en las dos argollas a los dos extremos del pectoral,

25 A nd the other two ends of the two wreathen chains thou shalt fasten in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod before it.

pondrás los dos extremos de los dos cordones sobre los dos engastes, y los fijarás a las hombreras del efod en su parte delantera.

26 A nd thou shalt make two rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the breastplate in the border thereof, which is in the side of the ephod inward.

Harás otras dos argollas de oro, las cuales pondrás a los dos extremos del pectoral, en su borde interior, el que está al lado del efod.

27 A nd two other rings of gold thou shalt make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.

Harás asimismo las dos argollas de oro, las cuales fijarás en la parte delantera de las dos hombreras del efod, hacia abajo, delante de su unión, por encima del cinto del efod.

28 A nd they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.

Entonces se sujetará el pectoral por sus argollas a las dos argollas del efod con un cordón azul, para que esté sobre el cinto del efod y no se separe el pectoral del efod.

29 A nd Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the Lord continually.

Así llevará Aarón los nombres de los hijos de Israel en el pectoral del juicio sobre su corazón, cuando entre en el santuario, como memorial perpetuo delante de Jehová.

30 A nd thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the Lord: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the Lord continually.

Pondrás en el pectoral del juicio el Urim y el Tumim, para que estén sobre el corazón de Aarón cuando entre delante de Jehová, y llevará siempre Aarón el juicio de los hijos de Israel sobre su corazón en la presencia de Jehová.

31 A nd thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.

»Harás el manto del efod todo de azul.

32 A nd there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent.

En su centro, por arriba, habrá una abertura, alrededor de la cual tendrá un borde de obra tejida, como el cuello de un coselete, para que no se rompa.

33 A nd beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:

En sus orlas harás granadas de azul, púrpura y carmesí, y entre ellas, también alrededor del borde, campanillas de oro.

34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.

Una campanilla de oro y una granada, otra campanilla de oro y otra granada, en toda la orla alrededor del manto.

35 A nd it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the Lord, and when he cometh out, that he die not.

Aarón lo llevará puesto cuando ministre; su sonido se oirá cuando él entre en el santuario delante de Jehová, y cuando salga, para que no muera.

36 A nd thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, Holiness To The Lord.

»Harás además una lámina de oro fino, y grabarás en ella como se graba en los sellos: “Santidad a Jehová”.

37 A nd thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.

La sujetarás con un cordón azul y estará sobre la mitra; por la parte delantera de la mitra estará.

38 A nd it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord.

Así estará sobre la frente de Aarón, y llevará Aarón las faltas cometidas por los hijos de Israel en todas las cosas santas, en todas las santas ofrendas que hayan consagrado. Sobre su frente estará siempre, para que obtengan gracia delante de Jehová.

39 A nd thou shalt embroider the coat of fine linen, and thou shalt make the mitre of fine linen, and thou shalt make the girdle of needlework.

»Bordarás una túnica de lino y harás una mitra de lino; harás también un cinto de obra de recamador.

40 A nd for Aaron's sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.

A los hijos de Aarón les harás túnicas; también les harás cintos, y les harás tiaras que les den honra y hermosura.

41 A nd thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.

»Con ellos vestirás a Aarón, tu hermano, y a sus hijos; los ungirás, y los consagrarás y santificarás, para que sean mis sacerdotes.

42 A nd thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:

Les harás calzoncillos de lino para cubrir su desnudez desde la cintura hasta los muslos.

43 A nd they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.

Aarón y sus hijos los llevarán puestos cuando entren en el Tabernáculo de reunión, o cuando se acerquen al altar para servir en el santuario, para que no cometan pecado y mueran. Éste es estatuto perpetuo para él, y para su descendencia después de él.
